Problem:
A small company needs an interactive program to compute an employee’s paycheck. The payroll clerk will initially input the data, and given the input data, an employee's wage for the week should be displayed on the screen for the payroll check.
The data for the employee includes the employee's hourly pay rate and the number of hours worked that week. Wage is equal to the employee's pay rate times the number of hours worked (up to 40 hours). If the employee worked more than 40 hours, wage is equal to the employee's pay rate times 40 hours plus 1½ times the employee's pay rate times the number of hours worked above 40.
Instructions:
Match the action at the left-side with the correct step number at the right-side (the attached picture). Note that it may be possible to group more than one related actions in the same logical step / process without altering the essence of the algorithm.
In the program flow, input and checking of hourly pay rate should come before that of the number…
Problem: A company wants a program that will calculate the weekly paycheck for an employee based on how many hours they worked. For this
company, an employee earns $20 an hour for the first 40 hours that they work. The employee earns overtime, $30 an hour, for each hour they
work above 40 hours.
Example: If an employee works 60 hours in a week, they would earn $20/hr for the first 40 hours. Then they would earn $30/hr for the 20 hours
they worked overtime. Therefore, they earned: ($20/hr 40hrs) + ($30/hr 20 hrs) = $800 + $600 = $1400 total.
For this assignment, you must create pseudocode and a flowchart to design a program that will calculate an employee's weekly paycheck.
. Write pseudocode to design a programming solution by outlining a series of steps and using appropriate indentation and keywords. As you
write your pseudocode, be sure to consider the following:
What input does the computer need?
What steps does the program need to follow to process the input? What output should…
Problem Description:
The bird of paradise called the Helipixsal is renowned for its magnificent tail feathers which range in number from five to
nine ornate feathers each of a different length. Their "magnificence" is quantified by the rather simple process of
counting the exact number of tail feathers and multiplying this by the difference in the length of the minimum and
maximum lengths of tail feather.
You are to write a simple program that will allow the user to enter the length of each tail feather individually and keep on
entering feathers until a -1 is entered. The program will then return the quantified "magnificence" factor.

- ASSIGNMENT: You are working for a lumber company, and your employer would like a program that calculates the cost of lumber for an order. The company sells pine, fir, cedar, maple, and oak lumber. Lumber is priced by board feet. One board foot equals one square foot that is one inch thick. The price per board foot is given in the following table: Pine 0.89 Fir 1.09 Cedar 2.26 Maple 4.50 Oak 3.10 The lumber is sold in different dimensions (specified in inches of width and height, and feet of length) that need to be converted to board feet. For example, a 2 x 4 x 8 piece is 2 inches wide, 4inches high, and 8 feet long, and is equivalent to 5.333 board feet (2 * 4 * 8 = 64, which when divided by 12 = 5.333 board feet). An entry from the user will be in the form of a letter and four integer numbers. The integers are the number of pieces, width, height, and length. The letter will be one of P, F, C, M, O (corresponding to the five kinds of wood) or T, meaning total. When the letter is T,…arrow_forwardA code in c++ or python A program that asks you to enter the name of a movie or series, and then proceed to ask how much you rate the movie or series on a scale of 1 to 10, then ask what rating you would give the series or movie, and have options for example: G, PG, PG-13, R and finally, a thank you message for your comments appears.arrow_forwardPython Code Needed Problem: A company wants a program that will calculate the weekly paycheck for an employee based on how many hours they worked.
