Classification of Flynn’s taxonomy:

Flynn’s taxonomy is based on two properties, they are:

• Number of instruction
• Number of data streams that are flowing into the processor.

The instruction stream is the sequence of instructions performed by the processing unit. Data stream is the stream of data that is exchanged between the memory and processing unit. It is possible that the machine works on one or more data streams and it is also possible that one or more processors work on the same data stream.
