Chapter 9, Problem 7AW
Program Plan Intro
Intersection operation on sets:
- • A set is an unordered collection of unique elements.
- • The set may contain different types of data; it can be numbers, characters, strings, and also class objects.
- • Intersection operation of two sets will return the common elements of the two sets.
- • Thus, if intersection is taken between“set1” and “set2”, then the common elements of “set1” and “set2” will produce the intersection set.
- • In Python “&” operator or “intersection()” method can be used to find the intersection of two sets.
Algorithm to create a set “set3” that contains only the common elements of sets “set1” and “set2” is as follows:
- • Use “set()” method to create the set “set1” by passing member elements list as an argument.
- ○ set1=set(memberList)
- • Use “set()” method to create the set “set2” by passing member elements list as argument.
- ○ set2=set(memberList)
- • Find the intersection of sets “set1” and “set2” using “intersection()” method and assign the resulting set to set variable “set3”.
- ○ set3=set1.intersection(set2)

Perform a Profile of your Dec2Hex function.
Write a function that takes a timedate object as a parameter andcalculates the number of years from NOW to the time in the timedateobject.
Add unit-testing code to your Dec2Hex exercise, and then perform aUnit test of the updated Dec2Hex code.
C. _______ the set of all subsets of a set including the empty set and the set itself.

- Word FrequencyWrite a python program that reads the contents of a text file. The program should create a dictio-nary inwhich the keys are the individual words found in the file and the values are the number of timeseach word appears. For example, if the word “the” appears 128 times, the dictionary wouldcontain an element with 'the' as the key and 128 as the value. The program should eitherdisplay the frequency of each word or create a second file containing a list of each word and itsfrequency.arrow_forwardA feature of our Set ADT is that it is a collection that allows duplicate elements.arrow_forwardCode the following directions in python. 1.Assume the variable dct references a dictionary. The program should first read an integer for the size of the array and then should create the two arrays dynamically (using new) and should read the numbers into array1 and array2 and then should find the common members and show it. Note: The list of the common members should be unique. That is no member should be listed more than once. Tip: A simple for loop is needed on one of the arrays (like array1) and one inner for loop for on array2. Then for each member of array1, if we find any matching member in array2, we record it. Sample run: Enter the number of elements of array 1: 7 Enter the elements of array 1: 10 12 13 10 14 15 12 Enter the number of elements of array 2: 5 Enter the elements of array 2: 17 12 10 19 12 The common members of array1 and array2 are: 12 10arrow_forward
- Vectors Write three statements to print the first three elements of vector runTimes. Follow each with a newline. Ex: If runTime = {800, 775, 790, 805, 808}, print: 800 775 790 Note: These activities may test code with different test values. This activity will perform two tests, both with a 5-element vector. See "How to Use zyBooks".Also note: If the submitted code tries to access an invalid vector element, such as runTimes.at(9) for a 5-element vector, the test may generate strange results. Or the test may crash and report "Program end never reached", in which case the system doesn't print the test case that caused the reported message. #include <iostream>#include <vector>using namespace std; int main() {const int NUM_VALS = 5;vector<int> runTimes(NUM_VALS);unsigned int i; // Populate vectorfor (i = 0; i < runTimes.size(); ++i) {cin >> runTimes.at(i);} /* Your solution goes here */ return 0;} Please help me with this problem using c++.arrow_forwardFive integers are read from input as variables person1 to person5.
