Introduction:
Sexual reproduction takes place in most chordates and non-chordates species and involves the joining of two gametes.
The production of new individuals by the joining (or combining) of two haploid reproductive cells (gametes of female and male) is known as sexual reproduction, which further forms zygote.
The word ‘sexual’ comes from the Latin word ‘sexus (from sexualis)’ which means ‘of copulation or generation’. The other word reproduction comes from the Latin word ‘reproductio’ which means ‘again production’.
Sexual reproduction is the form of natural selection. For sexual reproduction, both men and women need to find a mate.The reason for the mating choice is still controversial.
