Introduction:
The quantity of heat required to increase the material’s temperature by a unit degree Celsius/kelvin is known as the specific heat capacity of that substance.
Different materials have different specific heat capacities. More the specific heat capacity of a material, more will be the energy required to heat or cool it. As the specific heat capacity of a baked potato is higher than other foods and it is a bad conductor of heat, it stays hotter for a longer time.

Baked potato stays hot longer because it has large specific heat capacity and is a poor conductor of heat.
