After losing the last presidential elections, Hillary Clinton became Secretary of State in the Obama administration. Clinton future at the White House is questionable at this stage as she announced that she would no longer serve as Sectary of State and she would not run for presidency in 2012; some rumors however state that she considers competing in the 2016 elections. It is nevertheless worthwhile to mention that it has been nearly two centuries since any sectary of state has become United States president.

Emily Murphy was a part of the Dower Act. Emily thought of the idea because she knew a man that sold his farm with his wife. He took all the money and left the women and their children, with nothing. Emily did not think this was fair and took a stand. She created the Dower Act. This defended property rights to married women. The Dower act protected married women’s rights to one-third portion of her husband’s property. Emily spent many years studying this topic and in 1911 it was passed upon the Alberta legislature. Emily Murphy had many things to yet be discovered after the Dower Act.

BET International broadcast jazz to Europe and Africa. Black Entertainment Television was in steady progression with Debra Lee in the driver’s seat. BET was cornering the market in many areas, the website became the top gateway for many African Americans.

Many people this day and age will argue what it takes to be a good leader. Some like to look towards politics at the Presidents because they have good backgrounds, plus they lead people, but it is always wise and good to look at the leadership of people in the military. Lots and lots of people have come through the United States militaries, some of those men and women left a bigger mark than others. Military leaders and the leadership shown in the military is always respected too. Although Michael P. Murphy was an outstanding leader before he joined the military, one instance of his leadership while in the Navy will forever leave the Murphy name marked in history.
