Team approaches
Give a brief statement of your team approaches for the assignment (i.e., horizontal approach, sequential approach, free-form approach, or stratified approach) and why you choose this approach?
Stratified
Horizontal
Sequential Our team has chosen to adopt a mix of stratified, horizontal, and sequential approach. Each member has a specific role and is responsible for a section of the report. We have split the group into three pairs, with each pair responsible for one topic. We aim to work independently, but also to collaborate and to help each other complete the report to an optimal standard. Team members also have the responsibility to check over each other’s work.
2.1 Team Aims:
What do you aim to achieve from the undertaking of this group assignment.
We aim to foster collaboration and teamwork in a group environment, essential skills that are integral to our future careers.
We also aim to develop effective communication, problem solving and conflict resolution skills which will prepare us for the workplace. We intend to undertake extensive research and complete the project to a suitable standard. This is so that we can adequately learn about the different aspects of construction. 2.2 Guiding Principles
Communication
Support
Respect of ideas and individuals
Honesty and discussion of problems
Role distribution
Celebration/rewards
3.

3.2 Team meetings and check-ins
When and where?
First meeting – Business Building 22/03/2024
We had our first meeting to complete the Group Assignment Strategy and Agreement Document. We assigned team roles, selected our project, and allocated work tasks.
Second meeting – Online Zoom Meeting 27/03/2024
The purpose of our second meeting was to collate our individual research into a single Google Doc. We then edited, formatted and proofread each other’s work, and started on the first draft of our report.
Third meeting – In person meeting; Electrical Engineering Building 03/04/2024
Our main deliverable was to complete the first draft of our report by this date. We came together to discuss the details of our report, and to sort out any inconsistences and issues. We aim to complete the final report by Wednesday next week. Fourth meeting – In person: UNSW Library 10/04/2024
We completed our report. We came together as a group to look through each other’s work
and 3.3 Communications
Identify your methods of communication during the semester i.e. WhatsApp, UNSW emails, face to face meetings.
Our main methods of communication are Snapchat, Facebook Messenger and iMessage. These are used to facilitate group meetings and general communication. They were selected due to convenience and ease of usage. Group meetings will also be held in person. For work collaboration and documentation, we have chosen to use Google Docs and Word due to familiarity and ease of use. 4.
Team Productivity Management
Conflict is an inevitable part of every group process and can be an opportunity for growth
if it is handled correctly. It is therefore important to spend time outlining the way your BLDG 1013 Introduction to Construction Management & Property

OSHA laws and NFPA70E have strict safety requirements for working on electrical equipment. The basicrules are to turn off the power before working on the equipment and to wear the propertype of nonflammable clothing. To further provide safety for the worker, the NationalElectrical Code has a requirement pertaining to arc-flash hazard warning. This requirement is found in of the NEC.

I have just started my first Semester (Fall 2021) out of 4 semesters in Master of Applied Science (M.A.S) in Power Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology. I did not clearly undersand the course enrollment system because I am new to the system, so I ended up enrolling in courses; ECE58-Microgrid Design and Operation, and ECE579-Computer Aided Design of Electrical Machines. It appears ECE582 listed ECE418 (Power System Analysis) as a prerequisite; and ECE539 requires ECE319 (Fundamentals of Power Engineering) and ECE412(Hybrid Electric Vehicle Drives) as prerequisites. Let me hasten to add that I graduated in 2009 in a different academic setup in Africa in Electrical Engineering. So, not only do I have to cover the gap of about 12 year out of classroom, but I have compounded the problem by jumping into advanced courses before enrolling into foundation courses. Unfortunately I can no longer switch courses as the enrollment window has passed. I am only left with one option; to…
