Team approaches Give a brief statement of your team approaches for the assignment (i.e., horizontal approach, sequential approach, free-form approach, or stratified approach) and why you choose this approach? Stratified Horizontal Sequential Our team has chosen to adopt a mix of stratified, horizontal, and sequential approach. Each member has a specific role and is responsible for a section of the report. We have split the group into three pairs, with each pair responsible for one topic. We aim to work independently, but also to collaborate and to help each other complete the report to an optimal standard. Team members also have the responsibility to check over each other’s work. 2.1 Team Aims: What do you aim to achieve from the undertaking of this group assignment. We aim to foster collaboration and teamwork in a group environment, essential skills that are integral to our future careers. We also aim to develop effective communication, problem solving and conflict resolution skills which will prepare us for the workplace. We intend to undertake extensive research and complete the project to a suitable standard. 3.1 Group Roles i.e Meeting facilitator, Proofreader, communications, technical coordinator etc. Note that ALL group members must participate in ALL sections of the assignment submission. First meeting – Business Building 22/03/2024 We had our first meeting to complete the Group Assignment Strategy and Agreement Document. We assigned team roles, selected our project, and allocated work tasks. Second meeting – Online Zoom Meeting 27/03/2024 The purpose of our second meeting was to collate our individual research into a single Google Doc. We then edited, formatted and proofread each other’s work, and started on the first draft of our report. Third meeting – In person meeting; Electrical Engineering Building 03/04/2024 Our main deliverable was to complete the first draft of our report by this date. We came together to discuss the details of our report, and to sort out any inconsistences and issues. We aim to complete the final report by Wednesday next week. Fourth meeting – In person: UNSW Library 10/04/2024 We completed our report. We came together as a group to look through each other’s work and 3.3 Communications Identify your methods of communication during the semester i.e. WhatsApp, UNSW emails, face to face meetings. Our main methods of communication are Snapchat, Facebook Messenger and iMessage. These are used to facilitate group meetings and general communication. They were selected due to convenience and ease of usage. Group meetings will also be held in person. For work collaboration and documentation, we have chosen to use Google Docs and Word due to familiarity and ease of use. 4. Team Productivity Management Conflict is an inevitable part of every group process and can be an opportunity for growth if it is handled correctly.
