Which crime is not a white collar offense?

Expert Solution
Introduction

A crime is a violation of laws or regulations for which a governing body can impose a punishment. While every infringement of the legislation is a crime, not every breach of the legislation is a crime; contractual breaches and other common law violations, for example, can be categorized as offences. White-collar crime is a form of nonviolent crime in which the main reason is generally money. White-collar offenders typically hold a position of authority and/or reputation, as well as a job that pays well above standard.

Explanation

The following are some of the offences that are not classified as white collar crimes.

Crimes of Violence
A violent crime occurs when the person uses or attempts to use violence against the other person. Violent offences can be undertaken with or without the use of arms and weaponry. They also involve crimes where the violent act is the goal, such as assassination, as well as crimes where assault is the only means to an end, such as robbery.

Offences Involving Assets
Burglary, theft by deception, robbery, vehicle theft, arson, shoplifting, and vandalism are all examples of property crime. Property crime is described as the stealing of money or property without the use of violence and the threat of force against an individual.

Hate Crimes
Hate crimes occur when an offender attacks a person based on his or her membership in a social circle, which is typically characterized by race, faith, sexual preference, disabilities, class, status, ethnicity, citizenship, age, sexuality, or gender orientation.
