check the testArg.py --> an example to show you how to use arguments

TCP Task

In the program explained during the lab
  • the client sends only 1 message to server ‘hello from tcp client’
  • server responds with the uppercase message.

Update the program / make a simple chat program so that
  • Client can send/receive multiple messages to server.
  • A special exit message is used to disconnect ‘Exit’.
  • Each time client sends a message, server responds with a confirmation of receiving it and its length
  • (use the screenshots in the presentation as a reference)
using python .
tcp client code
from socket import *
serverIP = '127.0.0.1'
serverPort = 12000
clientSocket = socket(AF_INET, SOCK_STREAM)
clientSocket.connect((serverIP,serverPort))
sentence = input('Input lowercase sentence:')
clientSocket.send(sentence.encode())
modifiedSentence = clientSocket.recv(1024)
print ('From Server:', modifiedSentence.decode())
clientSocket.close()
tcp server code

while True:
connectionSocket, addr = serverSocket.accept()
