1. Ebola virus, a dangerous outbreak was found to have occurred due to possible transmission of virus from bats and the contact of contaminated bodily fluids such as blood, urine, etc. Therefore, such a devastating disease outbreak around the world which initially broke in West Africa that along with acute poverty went through lack of proper healthcare, transportation, communication and resources, made it difficult for public health in bringing a quicker solution against it, hence spreading faster. I think to prevent similar pandemics in the future, countries especially with low economies should be prepared with potential resources to combat a health emergency. Moreover, international countries should intervene by investing in African healthcare systems, especially in places suffering from extreme poverty, to build stronger and accessible health care that provides treatment for its residents (Matua et al., 2015). Local Public health officials should visit certain vulnerable places and institutions to educate people about the benefits of sanitation, medical emergencies, and how to access certain health policies or resources when needed, all of which can prevent such disease outbreaks by remaining informative and cautious.

2. The fact that Ebola virus was a sudden outbreak and spread due to bats reminded me exactly of the recent Covid virus outbreak. Moreover, Ebola and Covid both resulted in transmission through contact, rapid death, the idea of PPE and an emergent need of vaccine seemed similar (Bavinger et al., 2020). Hence, with proper care, research, support, education and communication such epidemics can be prevented globally in the future.
