Trypanosomiasis or sleeping sickness is a type of disease that affects many animals including humans. Causative agent of this infectious disease is Trypanosoma brucei. Two strains of this organism are known to infect humans. Symptoms of this disease include, joint pains, itchiness, headaches, fever, and in more severe cases, trouble in sleeping, numbness, poor coordination, and confusion.
