In a short sentence each, explain THREE of the sampling types

Expert Solution
Step 1

Sampling is a procedure which is used in research studies, in a study we generally use data in large number but it not able to study all the data. So sampling is used to pick some of the population from the entire population to conduct the study.

Step 2

Random sampling is a process in which sample is selected randomly in the population to avoid the bias. There are several types of random samplings. Some of them are,

  1. Simple random sampling:

In this the entire population is in the sampling frame and everyone has a equal opportunity to get selected as a sample.

2. Convenience sampling:

It is a type of sampling which is convenience to the researcher.  For suppose the researcher is a professor he has easy accessibility to the students so, he choose his students to get the initial data for the study without going anywhere.

  1. Cluster sampling:

In this the entire population is divided into small cluster each cluster will have all the characters of the entire population and the researcher randomly selects one entire cluster as a sample.
