What are Renewable Sources of Energy?

Answer – Renewable sources of energy are those energy sources that are quickly replenished by nature. Examples include solar and wind energy.

Explanation:

Traditionally, coal and oil have been used as the main sources of energy; they are burnt to produce heat and light that can then be used for a large number of purposes. However, these are fossil fuels, and have millions of years to form. While there are large reserves of them present in various parts of Earth, fossil fuels are not sustainable and are considered to be non-renewable.

On the other hand, power (energy) from wind, water and the sun, is comparatively much more sustainable. These and other sources of energy that are also reliant on constantly occurring natural phenomena (geothermal and biomass energy) are unlikely to deplete (as they are constantly replenished), and are considered to be renewable sources of energy.
