After reading the first portion of Invisible Man, the scene that stood out the most to me was when the narrator took Mr. Norton around the countryside. While there the narrator introduced Mr. Norton to Jim Trueblood, who slept with his own daughter. Trueblood mentions that white people have been giving him money and helping him out more. Which is very strange because the college views him as disgusting and hate him very much. The main character did not want Mr. Norton to see this and immediately regretted taking him out. Norton almost seems to relate to Jim because he describe his daughter as pure and beautiful. He also gives Jim one hundred dollars. This greatly impacts the main character because he becomes very angry that Norton gave him
