No matter what someone is always responsible for equipment in the Army. Accountability is important because it assures someone that needs will be met. If someone is accountable, you can trust that they will do what they claimed. Companies, businesses, and pretty much anything that is being used to represent a group of people or has some kind of image it needs/wants to uphold has to maintain accountability for many different things. Whether it be equipment it uses to do its job or employees that assist customers and get the jobs that need to be done, done. And after that you can possibly do jail time from six months to a year and sure there will be rank taken away or something along those lines. You might even get an article fifteen after all that or maybe when you hate to pay for the lost sensitive equipment or item so these should be a main priority to maintain and know where they are at all times and are accounted for either battle buddy or maybe CQ desk or the CP if they’re not personally on you. Weapons are essential to keep intact because without your weapon you cannot defend yourself. If you any part of your weapon it causes you to lose protection for yourself. Then your team will lose protection from you if your needed, which in turn the platoon suffers from one person not being able to protect themselves from danger causes the whole company and eventually unit to lose a key piece of protection. Loss of ear pro is also another item not to lose if out on the battle field it can cause permanent hearing loss. Eye pro will protect your eyes from any debris from hitting your eyes during battle. A platoon counts on every piece of equipment used to make the mission smoother and able to accomplish if a piece of equipment comes up missing then the unit as a whole suffers. When a person misplaces

First off by definition "Accountability is important in the military because soldiers are often times required to perform extremely challenging duties and services. Accountability by definition means the quality or state of being accountable; especially : an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility or to account for one 's actions. Accountability stems from late Latin accomptare (to account), a prefixed form of computare (to calculate), which in turn derived from putare (to reckon). While the word itself does not appear in English until its use in 13th century Norman England, the concept of account-giving has ancient roots in record keeping activities related to governance and money-lending systems that first developed in Ancient Egypt, Israel, Babylon, Greece, and later, Rome. In the United States Marine Corps it is very important to hold yourself accountable for all actions especially true the longer you are in. To myself it refers to the obligation of an individual to report formally to his superiors for the proper discharge of his responsibility. It is the answer ability of a subordinate to render an account of his activities to his superior. The person who accepts responsibility is accountable for the performance of the assigned duties. As such being late to work is a direct violation of accountability. Forgetting ones required materials for work may seem small and harmless but overall may develop into bigger issues if not dealt with accordingly.
Accountability in the Army is many of the reasons why the Army has remained a pinnacle in the world since the start of the revolutionary war. We can see that confirming the amount of soldiers helps maintain order and balance within the ranks. And ways to keep soldiers accountable, we have formations, such as 1st formation and final formation. While being soldiers in BCT and AIT, we have more formations in regards that they need to keep soldiers accountable, to disperse information, and or release them for the day.
Accountability is everything within the USMC and the work force. Once you have achieved this personality trait, there is no way anybody could have any reason no to trust you. Like John Di Lemme said "accountability separates the wishers in life from the action-takers that care enough about their future to account for their daily actions." Answerability is justifying your actions, being able to answer to the "what, when, where, why, and how?" aspect. when given a responsibility you are required to follow through with lability you are
Responsibility in SF community is a major ideal that every soldier and civilian that interacts with it should have. More importantly responsibility as a soldier, this is important because you are relied upon. Responsibility in your job is important, let say some joe schmoe new to an oda takes for granted a order to clean the la trene. He blows off the task and allows the bathroom to get filthy, before you know his oda is sick and he is responsible for it. Now this may be a very leanant example of responsibility, how can a person trust you with more responsibility if you fuck on the small things. This lead back to the idea of how can you have responsibility with out trust. How could you brother in arms trust you with his life if he cant trust you clean a bathroom.
We will be discussing what best motivates ethical and productive behavior within the United States Army. Accountability is a vital aspect of having an efficiently run institution, organization, or company and it begins at the top. I once worked for a supervisor who I believed at one point was the ultimate micro-manager. We initially would start our day at the office, then make our way into the field where we were responsible for investigating our cases, checking complaints, or conducting surveillance. He was relatively new to the unit. So he used the telephone calls as a way to get to know the team and account for our whereabouts through the day. It was not until my partner, and I were checking a complaint, and it turned out the be very active as we made it on the scene. Our sergeant was the first person we called to get additional cars
In some failing platoons NCO’s who avoid being accountable can get ahead, while those who take responsibility may be ejected if some small thing goes wrong. If your platoon has this type of culture, then it may be time to behave accountably, and find a new role in a better platoon Key Points When you’re personally accountable, you take ownership of what happens as a result of your choices and actions. You don’t blame others or make excuses, and you do what you can to make amends when things go wrong.
