Ergonomics is defined as the science of designing the job to fit the worker rather than physically forcing the workers body to fit the job¹. Ergonomics combines aspects from the following scientific fields, physiology, biomechanics, kinesiology, industrial hygiene and psychology. This bibliographic analysis will concentrate on the following topics: medical aspects, productivity and product quality, the relationship between work sustainability and ergonomics, small business foundries, and green ergonomics. The purpose of the Ergonomics Hazards Policy is to prevent the occurrence of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MDS). According to OSHA, Ergonomic Hazards is referred to as any injury due to risk factors at work, such as lifting heavy items, bending, reaching overhead, pushing and pulling heavy loads, working in awkward body postures and performing the same or similar tasks repetitively (OSHA, 2017). Training will be given to all new employees on basic MDS information, and will be conducted by a qualified Healthcare Provider. Employees will be informed of any MDS they may experience and the risk factors that can cause or aggravate them and how to prevent them.
