The company has grown exponentially over the years with more than one hundred and thirty employees. As the company grew, their operational issues in the production and administrative area grew as well. Ergonomics combines aspects from the following scientific fields, physiology, biomechanics, kinesiology, industrial hygiene and psychology. This bibliographic analysis will concentrate on the following topics: medical aspects, productivity and product quality, the relationship between work sustainability and ergonomics, small business foundries, and green ergonomics. This review will also highlight pros and cons of the application of ergonomic principles in the work place.

One of the reasons for this is because the General Duty Clause is a broad but yet effective regulation tool that allows it to adapt to the work environment. The purpose of the Ergonomics Hazards Policy is to prevent the occurrence of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MDS). According to OSHA, Ergonomic Hazards is referred to as any injury due to risk factors at work, such as lifting heavy items, bending, reaching overhead, pushing and pulling heavy loads, working in awkward body postures and performing the same or similar tasks repetitively (OSHA, 2017). Training will be given to all new employees on basic MDS information, and will be conducted by a qualified Healthcare Provider. Employees will be informed of any MDS they may experience and the risk factors that can cause or aggravate them and how to prevent them.
