THE SIZE ,SCOPE AND DIVERSITY OF HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY
The scope of the hospitality industry refers to the range of businesses that provide services and facilities. The hospitality economy is one of the country’s key industries with huge growth prospects in jobs. In employment terms, restaurant are easily the largest sector, closely followed by a pubs, bars and club with the hotel sector growing more slowly, and the contract food service sector holding steady .

WORK FORCE SIZE AND CHARACTERISTICS
The 3rd most largest sector of workforce size is in hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism.In UK theres lots of unemployed people which the UK government social mobility stategy, guide and sopprt them to benifits into higher skilled and managment roles.there are 106,300 people to replace both those who are leaving and to fill a new job.
Hospitality industries grow more larger to the sector that have 89% of workforce. 43 % of selfcatering accomodation , holiday parks and hotels. Resturant have increased by 29%.
Nearly half of the sector’s workfore is part-time much higher that 28% across the economy as a whole – and are in pubd, bars and nightclubs 58% fewer are in travel services 23%. * this sector employs 7.2 of the total populaton.

The sector conntinues to employ a much younger workforce that across the whole economy.58% of workforce is female while there is 42% of workforce of male and 44% of workforce are under 30. 14% are from black or minority ethnic (BME)
This sector works closely next to some other sectors within the hospitality industry. People frequently enter this moving sector from the fast food (quick service) outlets, restaurants, bars, cafes, pubs, catering or food services. Hotels were always major providers of food services, entertainment (business and conference services), leisure and sporting. (Cooper and Shepherd, 1998)

Three are different category of service offers to different Clients like luxury to budget etc. This sector play very important role in countries GDP growth and employment growth. There are lot issues facing this industry these are different sustainable issues like social, economical and environmental issues which increase coast .another one is increasing operating cost and labor cost problem one of the major problem facing nowadays because shortage of skilled labors, highest staff turnover etc. another problem is increasing competition many companies force to cut down their prices

The reason for choosing the proposed topic was due to fact that the hospitality industry being in the service sector is of interest to me. The hotel industry has always fascinated me and would like to have more insight into the same, possibly for a career change or have a start up of my own.

As the number of restaurants increase, people have many options for choosing a restaurant. When guests dine out from the restaurant, they starting to evaluate what they experience According to the National Restaurant Association, the food service industry are still one of the economy's top employers. The major segments of restaurant industry are full service industry, quick industry, fine dining, casual dining and others. On the website of the National Restaurant Association 2015, food service industry sales are highly expected to hit a record high in 2015.
