Workforce ethics is a topic that must be considered by all companies when operating throughout their cycle of production. The Australian Government have put forward ethical standards that must be abided by when companies face ethical dilemmas. Many company’s follow these rules and go above and beyond to ensure ethically behaviour is maintained. However, many company’s fool the system by ‘bluffing’ that they act in an ethical behaviour. The major factor why companies opt to act ethically or unethically is to ensure they are competitive among the market. Ethical companies see maintaining ethically as a strategic advantage; as their employees are satisfied within their workplace prompting more productivity and consumers are influenced to purchase products because of their ethical standards. However, unethical business see unethically behaviour as a scheme to stay competitive by producing products at a lower price and selling products at a lower price, thus influencing consumer to purchase product. In order to stay competitive and attain loyal customers, companies obtain structures and guidelines to ensure ethical dilemmas are decreased within a company. Many companies that have a high value for ethical behaviour put forward company ethical codes to ensure they are above the average standards set by the government. Assign ethical officers to different section of the office to promote ethical behaviour throughout the day. Companies encourage employees to undergo training
