Aleks and I had a question about our summer research. For PSI we need to create a research proposal and we were unsure of what our hypothesis should be. We understand that this summer we will be analyzing and classifying OCT and OCTA images. Do you have any suggestions for out hypothesis about our summer research
Freedom Summer was a nonviolent effort by civil rights activists to integrate Mississippi's segregated political system during 1964. It raised the consciousness of millions of people to the troubles of African-Americans and the need for change. Americans all around the country were shocked by the killing of civil rights workers and the brutality they witnessed on their televisions. For nearly a century, segregation had prevented most African-Americans in Mississippi from voting or holding public office. Segregated housing, schools, workplaces, and public accommodations denied black Mississippians access to political or economic power.
In the Summer of 1964, the Mississippi Summer Project, also known as Freedom Summer, was organized by several Civil Rights organizations such as the Student Nonviolent Coordination Committee and the Congress on Racial Equality. The event that caused the start of Freedom Summer were that many African-Americans were not registered to vote, this was because the southern states had implemented literacy tests that were unfair and could be interpreted differently, and Poll Taxes which were ridiculous amounts to pay ("Freedom Summer"). Other causes include the case of Plessy Vs. Ferguson, which stated the “Separate but Equal” clause, and also Racial segregation. Freedom Summer Volunteers included White Northerners, and the organization was made to focus on the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party, Voter Registration, Freedom Schools, and Community Centers (“Timeline: Freedom Summer”). There was a need for the Freedom Summer because Many African-American People in the south were being oppressed by Literacy Tests and Poll Taxes.
This spring break was a very important because I was leaving for Chicago. First we went to the Peoria. We arrive at the Peoria airport and we are the only people there until we get to our gate and see at least 70-80 people. It’s gonna be a long flight. We arrive at the O’hare airport and we are late, my parents are freaking out, we have to be in a sports facility that is, over thirty minutes away and we have to be there in twenty. I learned a valuable life lesson that day, and that is to never procrastinate when something very important is present in your life. Me and my parents made that mistake and it will up hurting us in the future.
Over spring break I have learned a lot about carbohydrates, sugars, calories, energy, and exactly what happens to our bodies on the inside when we consume unhealthy things. This lesson is classified as human science. It is classified as this because it's the study of what goes on in the human body. Basically I learned and researched this because I am trying to eat extremely healthy because when I read what soda, gatorade, cookies, juice, and chips can do to your body I got very nervous. I saw how it affects you bowel movement, your ability to break down fat, how it makes pimples, and how you lose energy. When I officially understood and read these things I had enough it took me a while to really push myself onto a healthy food diet because

Also I am looking forward to getting to sleep in and not have to go to school. Also in Florida I am looking forward to hanging out with some friends from other schools. Something else I am looking forward to is being in the warm and in the pool. I also cannot wait to get tanner than I already am because I seem pale compared to what I normally look like. Also I am actually looking forward to the plane ride so I can watch my movie and eat some nuts and pretzels. I also cannot wait to get to wear shorts and not be cold. Another thing I am looking forward to during spring break is being

My 2018 Spring Break was better than usual and began with a great start. For this Spring Break, I went on a Road Trip to visit different college campuses on the northern side of California, a place I had never been to. I went with my program called, LACC Upward Bound that included 34 other students. I did not attend this trip alone and this was great because my friends got to come along on this great experience with me. Arriving to Northern California took about 4- 5 hours and during this drive I took this picture. It is so different from Los Angeles, everything is much greener, beautiful and natural. Our first location was Santa Cruz and the college we visited was UC Santa Cruz. On our way there, I saw many animals like cows, horses, sheeps,
My life was great over spring break. It started with my sister turning 15 on March 10 we decorated her room, then we made her pancakes shaped like the number 15. Later that night we all went out to eat at a fancy restaurant named the cheesecake factory it was some good cheesecake. Then my friend Aidan and I had a sleepover, we played outside went to the park with our other friends like eden, cooper, gressa and olivia. The next day of spring break aidan aj and I hung out for a while. About 1:00 me and aj went golfing with our dads at canyon farms. I felt the sun shining on me, I heard the birds singing it was just a beautiful day of golfing, we played about 9 holes.
Spring break was for an adventure for me. I did lots of stuff from playing games and watching netflix to camping and exploring. On my first few days of spring break, I just slept in and watched netflix. I personally liked how it started out, i wasn't waking up tired and i was at full power when i woke up. The shows i watched on netflix where walking dead and the OA. Later on in the break i decided to rewatch all the Harry Potter movies and that was one of my favorite part of the break. It took me about 2 to 3 days to watch all 8 movies. After Harry Potter I watched other movies but i mostly Played games like Rocket League and Fortnite. On the last week of spring break i planed last minute camping and sleeping over with my friends in the backyard.
For spring break, I went to the airshow and we brought out the family to go and see it. My family and I enjoyed seeing the air show that day. I also went out many times and walked my dog, which was pretty relaxing and went out for a jog. My other family came over and hung out a few times to be together and made food as well. I had track practice a few times and made me more active and felt better about myself, it was tiring but it was a great way to start my day on a daily basis. I had some of my spare time and got to draw many drawings over spring break because it’s what I like doing the most. Meanwhile my parents would work, I would have to babysit my two younger siblings and they were a pain sometimes but I would find a way to calm them
Most people opted not to return to Summerfest on Saturday, given it was July 4th- and the smaller sized audiences were quite noticeable. The weatheron Saturday was just as refreshing as the day before, and the fact that the festival wasn't at full-capacity made it a lot easier to move around to each show. Despite not having a large crowd, the performers on Saturday put on very memorable shows.
