These strengths include organization, participation, and creation of checklists. I feel I stay very organized in this class, as I have all of my documents organized inside my binder ready for a notebook check. In regards to participation, I try my best to raise my hand nearly every class. I stay active and focused so that I can obtain all of the information. I also ask questions frequently which helps me to avoid mistakes or any confusion. My final strength, the fact that I create checklists, has benefitted me immensely. Checklists help to make sure all requirements are met for any project or essay, which is how I received a 91 on my Pilgrim Presentation and an 85 on my Canterbury Tales Short Essay. Checklists have helped me to score higher on assignments with multiple requirements, but not all assignments were as simple as creating a
Strength’s Finder 2.0: I learned a lot from taking this assessment. My top 5 themes are as followed; Harmony, Consistency, Analytical, Adaptability, Intellection. Although I was unaware that I held these strengths, I am now confident in saying that I indeed excel in these areas. As far as Harmony goes, it is true that I do not like to spend all my time in one area. I also do not like to take sides in conflicts and would rather stay out of it. I am not good with confrontation, unless I have to be. Consistency is also something that
My strengths and weaknesses as a student would honestly have to be to just stay quiet and not get many friends only have one or two the rest just keep as your acquaintance increase you would need to use them for anything else. Outside of school have as many as you would like but inside of school only have two more than that is too much and would tend to cause drama. That’s something I definitely learned the hard way and would most definitely say is my weakness, not knowing when to stop. As for a strength, it’s most likely having a creative mind and courage to keep going regardless of
One strength I had in my essay was my use of significance. I usually struggle with significance in my essays but I felt I did a good job incorporating significance throughout my paper. One area I did a good job talking about significance was in
Based off my result after taking the VIA Survey of Character Strengths survey my first strength is my judgment, my effective use of critical thinking, and my open-mindedness. I agree with this because I actually spend more time thinking things through and assessing the cost and rewards than I do with the action I was originally thinking about. The Second Strength was Fairness, equity, and justice. I do agree with this strength but its description is not how I would describe it. I treat all people fairly and how I would want to be treated. I may give everyone a chance but ultimately I believe you get what you give; if you treat others good will get the same in return. I completely agree with the third strength- Hope, optimism, and future-mindedness.

One of them will be resilience because I don’t think most people could go through all that I’ve been through and be able to stay positive and hopeful like I have. Another one of my personal strengths is how committed I am to being successful and being able to make my family proud, and in the future being able to provide for my family and allowing them to be able to live a better life then I have in my youth. What I believe is my best strength is my open-mindedness. I’ve heard that when going to college I’ll encounter an incredible and diverse range of new ideas, people, and perspectives while on campus that will likely be unfamiliar to me. This will help me because I'm able to willingly and respectfully consider and listen to people with different perspectives and ideas, and not just think that it has to be my
Have you ever thought about your personal strengths? A few of my personal strengths are that I am a good lacrosse player, am a good leader, and a good thinker. I have played lacrosse since second grade. For my leadership, I was selected to be the Zion house leader. Knowing one's strengths is a strength within itself. When one looks at herself and begins to search for her strengths, she realizes that finding them may not be as easy as it seems. After taking the time to evaluate myself, I found that diversity is my strongest quality. Though my class rank is not as high as I desire for it to be, I have achieved more than I ever thought I would while continuing to grow academically. While I made strides in my academic growth I was partaking in multiple clubs, extracurriculars, a part-time job, and a varsity sport.
The first strength I would like to introduce is adaptability which is a key trait of mine that will definitely put me at an advantage when trying to accomplish my tasks that will lead me to my ideal perception of academic success. Adaptability can be defined as “You live in the moment. You
My top strength I chose to write about, after taking part in the Brief Strengths Test, is kindness. To be kind means to concern other people and to help them without expecting anything in return. A few months ago, I was traveling in Cuba, where it is very rare to find internet connection. There, I met a little girl who was listening all day long to three songs on her computer. I asked her if she would like some of the songs I had on my mp3. Then, I transferred music from my device to her computer and she was amazed by getting 400 songs that she had never heard before. I was glad to introduce her to a new world of international music. I believe that helping or giving others benefits you as well, even if you don't get money or respect, you will
Society is a social construct, a bunch of strict ‘rules’ set to be the normal in society. Some societies may view things normally when does something certain but another society may see it as deviant. Two societies that differ majorly would be Anglo-Saxon society and today's society. Anglo-Saxon society lasted from about 410 AD to 1066 A.D. Though there are many difference from Anglo Saxon society and our society there are things that are still similar such as loyalty to your ‘leader’, and people wanting revenge for when they've been wronged. In Anglo Saxon society the citizens were utterly loyal to their king.
According to the StrengthsFinder survey, my five greatest strengths are: communication, achiever, woo, competition and ideation (Clifton PH.D, Anderson, PH.D, & Schreiner PH.D, 2006). I have utilized the above mentioned strengths in various ways, such a talking with classmates, being ahead of schedule, and trying to come up with ways to get homework done.
There are two areas of strength I have identified. The first strength is self-awareness/self-management from the Interpersonal Skills and Personal Characteristics category. The second strength is public speaking from the General Personal Skills category. In the past, I would not have considered these as strengths, but over time they have become an integral asset as I have progressed in my personal life and career. I have been able to utilize them to my advantage in order to receive effective feedback such as constructive criticism or when I have a disagreement with others.
First, for my strengths I can set my goals, support my opinion with facts, and remember the important information when I have an exam, take notes from the textbook, get to class on time, participate in the class, take study breaks, study alone, come to class prepared, locate information for research projects, evaluate information for researching, use critical thinking skills to solve problems, use social media for academic and career purposes, develop respectful relationships with faculty and classmates, and completing my work on time.
