Summer and winter are both very nice seasons. Many people like both of these seasons, but really these two seasons have nothing in common. Winter is the season that has more activities and can do more of the summer activities making it better. They have different clothing and different amounts of clothing, they both have animals, but this is also different in each season, they have different foods and different temperature of foods and they also have different activities that adapt to the type of weather in these seasons.
The difference in clothing is a really big difference in types of cloths but also in the amount of cloths. In the summer, people were cloths that are usually one layer at most. These clothes usually consist of shorts and tank tops or t-shirts. In the winter people wear clothes that are a lot more heavily coated. In the winter people tend to wear a t-shirt underneath a sweater. This is because the winter can be warmer than usual and that is when you take off your sweater. Then usually people wear a big, big coats when it starts colder. When you get cold than you can always add layers. In the summer you only can take off so many clothes. When kids go outside, then they also will use their snow pants when they play in the snow. In the summer people usually where there flip flops and other things like that which could also include runners. In the winter people wear boots and this will keep your feet very warm compared to what you would were in the summer.
The movie and the story are similar and different. The first similarity is they both take place on Venus. Another similarity is the sun only came out for an hour. The differences were they had more detail about the sun lamps. They also had sun kits. The last on is in the book they said that it has been raining for 7 years, and in the movie it says it was 9 years. These are 5 ways they were alike and
Mark Smith’s, The Road to Winter (2016), charts the narrative of Australian teenager, Finn, who has survived a virus that has wiped out the majority of his town. Finn is forced to survive, protecting himself from the violent gangs in the North on his own, following the death of his parents. With survival being the main theme of the novel, the characters in The Road to Winter exhibit their exceptional and awful capabilities when their survival is threatened. Despite characters living in seclusion, they will go to any means to protect their own survival. Furthermore, when Finn, Rose or Kas’ lives are threatened, alternate characters will rise to their assistance, completing formidable acts of bravery to save them. Finally, Ramage displays his awful capabilities, threatening others survival, if his own leadership is jeopardised.
There is a great difference between driving in the winter as opposed to driving in the summer. Although the two driving conditions have their own advantages and disadvantages, I would argue that driving in the summer time is better.
During summer from clothing to accessories are different from winter. During summer, people wear shorts and t-shirts and in accessories shades and cap, on the contrary in winter thermal wears with jeans and jacket or winter coat and in accessories like a scarf, ear protectors and hand gloves. Moreover, in summers maintaining a garden, and cleaning leafs etc, but in winter everything is hidden in snow so no one worries about the garden. Eating a different type of food is also different in both the season in Michigan because eating light and healthy food is advisable in summer, while in winter heavy and warm food with more nutrition is advisable. In summer driving is a lot easier because the absence of snow on the road, although in winter and driving with snow is difficult and many accidents also do occur due to snow because controlling a vehicle on road with snow is very difficult.
The two short stories that we read in this unit, “All Summer in a Day” by Ray Bradbury ,and “Examination Day” by Henry Slesar, both have meanings of their societies. In “All Summer In A Day” the main character, Margot lives on Venus and gets bullied by the other kids on Venus because she has seen the sun back on Earth while they only saw it when they were babies. On the only day where the sun goes out Margot gets shoved into a closet while the kids that bullied her get to go enjoy the sun for the first time in 7 years. In “Examination Day” the main character, Dickie, gets killed because his intelligence quotient is above the amount the Government wants it to be. Both of their societies are highly sophisticated but, they are very different
Without a doubt winter and summer are two different seasons and living in the south we have our fair share of extreme weather. Both seasons require a certain type of driving and to do that without problems you need to keep your car in working order. Without a doubt getting from point A to point B can be an issue if you do not understand how to manage your vehicle. During the winter and summer, you should always be careful to keep your tires road ready, your engine and fluids, battery and belts in check and always follow the rules of the road. Because winter and summer road conditions are vastly different there are a few things you need to know. First, during winter there may
In the short film All Summer In a Day, there is a classroom full of children on a planet very similar to Earth. This story is taking place in the future and on a very dismal planet. The sun only shines once a year and only for a couple hours. On this planet it rains all day, every day. All of the children flock together to see the sun when it shines but one kid in particular is very loving of the memory of the sun. All of the children are too young to remember the sunlight except for the one, Margot. Margot was born on Earth and is older than the other children so she remembers the sunlight very faintly. William is jealous that Margot can remember the sun being out and he cannot. Therefore william picks on Margot by bringing her hope down and
¨Those Winter Sundays¨ by Robert Hayden and ¨Snapping Beans¨ by Lisa Parker are two different narrative poems that share the same theme. Similarly both poems consist of a speaker being affected by the relationship they have with their elders. In ¨Those Winter Sundays¨ the speaker tells us about his hardworking father who takes care of his kids even though he may come off as a harsh father. The speaker of ¨Snapping Beans¨ is a granddaughter who discusses about the change that she is going through but is afraid to tell the person that raised her. Therefore this essay compares the two poems with respect to the speaker's feelings and morals.
The differences is that in the summer it is clear blue skies making it easier to see when you are driving. It can also be very difficult to see when the sun is shining the sun can be often very bright. Also sometimes in the summer it’s hard to tell whether the light is yellow green or red due to the sun shining. Also in the summer the heat can cause your tire pressure
Music is constantly changing. The Baroque period (1600-1750) and the Classical period (1750-1820) have both differences and similarities in elements such as form, texture, and dynamics. I will be comparing the first movement of Spring from the Four Seasons composed by Antonio Vivaldi and the first movement of Symphony No. 5 in C minor by Ludwig van Beethoven. I will construct a stylistic comparison of the two compositions and their musical stylings with regard to the periods of music of which they belong.
Summer is the hottest season of the year and that is when kids starve the most. During the summer season kids go literally all day and night without eating, to where they're used to eating once, maybe twice a day at school. “Families are struggling in a way they haven’t in a long time.”, says Brian Loring.
After the winter, people look forward to having all the flowers begin to bloom again and birds begin to fly, announcing the start of spring. The grass turns green and people begin to be outside without five layers of clothing on and snow falling from the sky. Spring is when everything comes alive after the winter hibernation. My favorite time of the year is spring, when you wake up to the birds chirping outside of your windows. It is the time of year when you walk outside and smell the fresh cut grass and the scent of new flowers. On the first day of spring you are even happy to see the little bugs flying around you because you know you are finally done with winter. It is the best time of year, with so many
In New York they experience all four seasons. The leaves change colors in the fall, it snows in the winter, the grass gets greener because it rains a lot in the spring, and it can get very sunny and unbearably hot in the summer.
Misty dew covers the entire surface of the field. The yellowing corn stalks stand erect and proud until my grandpas tractor comes to end their growth. Autumn slowly weaves its way in and leaves a stain of brilliant color in its wake. Not everyone enjoys such colors, but when you take a second to step outside your doorstep, and look at all the wonders that surround you, you’d be surprised at how marvelous the world can truly be. To me, Autumn is a time for relishing in the colors. Soaking in the oranges and reds while sitting by a warm fire. It’s a time for remembering that everything does end, but it does not have to end in the dreadful way we think it will. Autumn is a time for the closeness of others to keep out the chill of the morning and the starry-eyed darkness of the night.
Overall, summer is just a wonderful season with so much to offer. The best thing about this time of the year is that everyone is so happy, whereas, compared to the winter, everyone is
