It is a controversy. Should the United States enter and escalate the war with the Islamic state? Even experts opinions are conflicting on this point. The article on the website Newsela discusses these two opinions. The con side is written by John B. Quigley, a professor of law at the Ohio State University; James Jay Carafano , a 25-year old army veteran, is representing the pro side. Which, in my opinion, definitely is the winning side in this argument. ISIS didn't just take several human lives, they took from us a basic need: security.

To that the the Iraqi military also need troops from the western-powers after the war to stabilize the new government. This shows that there is more to the war than just the military fighting. Just like after World War II in Germany: The whole hierarchy in the country needs to be broken down and reorganized. Quigley’s main argument is that “we cannot rely on force alone,” an idea with which I totally agree. But with force added, as already explained in paragraph 1, there is no time to wait for the next terrorist attack. There is a need to act quickly. Quigley is arguing that we have to change their views, the views that have generated terror attacks. With which, again, he is totally right, but again, is still not enough.
It is our obligation to cause positive change while we are physically fighting against them. Just trying to change some radicalists views is not enough in a war against the most dangerous terror organization in the world’s history. We need to fight them with all our western intelligence and strategy. But we need to
