Chief among the threats to the United States today is ISIS. To be able to know how to properly address this problem, one need only look at the beginning of the conflict to understand how to end it. The reason ISIS went from a ragtag militia to an armed force capable of fighting both the Iraqis and Syrians, was with the equipment and training provided by the US government and our allies. This was done with the explicit purpose to enact regime change and create a free, secular state. Granted, at the time they thought they were arming democratic loving rebels. But doesn 't that just prove that we don 't have the competence to be getting ourselves involved in conflicts where we can 't tell who the good guys are?

A modern issue that is affecting our nation is the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria also known as ISIS. ISIS is noted to be a terrorist group that has caused many attacks against the United States of America and many other countries. Their goal is to build a caliphate state (Pierpaoli, 2015). ISIS uses “persecution and extermination” to those who enter its territories or go against them. This is a problem because ISIS is currently a threat to the United States. ISIS has been a rapidly increasing threat to not just the United States of America, but the entire world. ISIS has done countless brutal, sick, heart wrenching things that have caused a national and international uproar in the citizens of numerous countries. ISIS considers them the Islamic State, and they seem to have many motives. They basically want a large portion of the Middle east under ISIS control and for the rest of the world to accept their disgusting “traditions” as they claim they are doing, This threat has done some very unspeakable things; the problem needs to be solved. Considering the view the United State holds right now, there are a few actions that can be taken to reduce this threat that ISIS presents. The most efficient way is to simple go to war with ISIS and physically, mentally and emotionally destroy everything and everyone that is supporting this cause, another way is to give them what they desire to have, finally the last option is just completely ignore the foreign issue until it presents itself on U.S. soil. The United States is at risk of new terrorist organization. Resent attacks on parise shows the reach of this new terror group Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. ISIS is an unquestionably dangerous and potentially irrational force that needs to be migrated someway. Others may conclude ISIS is not extremely powerful, so why is military intervention needed? Just because ISIS is not extremely powerful now does not mean they won't be someday. A good and accurate example of that is the NAZIs. One of the biggest controversial arguments today is if the United States should go to war with terrorist groups such as ISIS and others. I believe that the best solution to this argument is to not go to war with terrorist groups or ISIS just yet.

Centuries of tyrants have taught humanity one thing, the world is a cruel and terrible place. It is full of people who will do anything in their power to be at the top, which exactly what the terrorist organization ISIS are doing right now. They are relatively new on the stage of wreaking havoc on the globe starting only in 2014. They have had the quickest rise to power going viral and fighting to gain ground ground physically, all while the US has used its best efforts to use counterterrorism to combat them. It has been a long two years since their grand opening and they are far from over.

Also, before Operation Iraqi Freedom al-Qaeda did not even exist. This exemplifies the idea that whenever the United States gets involved in foreign affairs rebel groups form in response. Unfortunately, rather than take responsibility for the rise of ISIL, the United states only focuses on how they can get rid of the problem. This shows a lack of responsibility by the United States, and instills a level of distrust by United States citizens. ISIL groups have ravaged terror into this region since they were first established, and they have gotten more malicious in response to military endeavors in their country. For example, ISIL declared war on the Shiites in Iraq in response to their collaborations with the United States in attacking Sunni villages that were harboring ISIL members. This is believed to be a key event in the emergence of ISIL and the high interest that people had in joining. The war on ISIS has been going on for many years yet many people have not even know of it till just the recent upcoming months. ISIS has been building up its resources, 3 years ago ISIS did not exist, but today it is growing stronger by the minute. They have been plotting and planning many different attacks, but the U.S. has been keeping a watchful eye on them and carefully watching their every move.

The last year 's terrorist attack in Belgium raises more serious question in regard of national security issues in the western world. After the Paris attacks, the Belgian authorities have been working hard to protect their people, and fighting against the terrorism. However, their security measure failed to defend with terrorist attack at Brussels International Airport and City metro station. This new attack exemplifies the weakness of the Belgium 's security forces, and explores the tactics about the ISIS terrorist groups that hide and work in Western countries. I believe ISIS has been losing their territory in the ground, which means they are defensive on their tactic. So, they have been focusing on different tactics to terrorize people

ISIL is a huge problem already and responsible for human rights abuses and war crimes. The US, until now has sent only airstrikes to devastate ISIL. While this has suppressed the problem, it has not pushed ISIL back. If ISIL is not pushed back, it will surely become an even larger problem for not only the Middle East but also to Western countries as well. It poses a moral threat to the United States’ ideals of liberty and justice, which are perfect grounds for the United States to send ground troops to fight it.
