Hi Team, I'm riding in this year's MS150, and would love your support in my fundraising efforts! With your encouragement and support, I was able to ride over 1000 miles and raise over $1000 dollars last year. I hope to get the same encouragement and support from each of you to do even more this year. I have a personal stake in this particular event. One of my closest mentors, Mrs. Jeanne Laborde was diagnosed with MS. Not only do I want to help her, but also the many others diagnosed with MS. As many of you know, I have been riding my whole life but have never rode for such an amazing cause and with as much passion until finding out about this event. This will be my second year doing this event with this terrific group of people. So onward
Science peer review is important with the role that it plays in the experiment. It helps confirm the research, establish a method to be evaluated, and increase different kinds of possibilities within research groups. There are three types of peer review such as single blind, double blind and open review. Single blind is where only the participate doesn’t know if they are in the controlled group or treatment. Double blind is when both the participate and the experimenter are kept in the dark. An open blind is where both sides
On March 19, I ran my 3rd Los Angeles marathon- a running event that is becoming an annual affair that me and my wife participates, which started 3 years ago when she signed me up to run my first marathon exactly one month before the event (she did her first the year prior).
Sean: That’s great. I was going to tell you that really anybody that you come in contact with that is community minded could help in some way. And we call it the three T's. It's time, talent and treasure. Given that the limit is $400 for this race, a lot of folks that even if they don't have a lot of money they can budget it out over the next you and make that happen. As we're talking about these folks, especially folks that have sat on boards that, are great. When you were involved with United Way, were you ever on the board of United Way?
I face a number of unusual personal expenses that make it difficult for my family to contribute to the cost of my education. Unfortunately, I along with my two other siblings and mother have been diagnosed with a variety of autoimmune diseases. I have been diagnosed with Type One Juvenile Diabetes, my middle sister has been diagnosed Vitiligo, my youngest sister has a form of Uveitis, and my mother has been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. In order to treat our respective diseases we need to take the prescribed medications that are each very costly and do not have a generic brand available on the pharmaceutical market. The treatment of my, my siblings, and mother’s collective diseases is financially heavy on our family, and it makes it
As an Arab immigrant who was raised in the United States since he was seven years old, who lived in Michigan seeing Arabs everyday and never felt like he was in a foreign country; and moving to NYC in 2015, changed the whole style of my life. NYC the tremendous city that I couldn’t find the people that I knew and that I understood nor those that understands me because of our massive cultural differences, and believes. The biggest problem is when I started school in NYC. The school system was different because in NYC they had regents, also their credit requirements were different, for that I was behind in credits and didn’t know what was the regents. Also, I came to school almost at the end of the First marking period of the second semester of freshman year.
I made one other staff application before on a server called PowerCraft. I was fortunate enough (and lucky enough) to actually come through. The staff application format over at PowerCraft's website was similar to the format on this
Before starting my day, I usually put on a earphone and press “shuffle play” on my Throwback playlist on my Spotify account. The most recent five songs that I have listened to before writing this assignment was You Rock My World - With intro by Michael Jackson, Baby, I’m Back by Baby Bash, Just The Two Of Us by Grover Washington, Charlene by Anthony Hamilton, and Show Me The Way by Earth Wind & Fire. Interestingly I have never heard these songs until last year because I was only exposed to music that was on the radio station such as 94.9 or 106.1 where newest and trending songs were played most often. Since three of those songs were produced in early 2000’s and the other two produced between the 1970s and 1980s, I was never able to come across
While sitting at my desk in a classroom overflowing with colorful decorations, my 1st grade classmates and I were taught how to add and subtract. At that moment, I had no idea that numbers would soon become one of the biggest factors in my life. Before I knew it, my journey as a number on a sheet of paper began. From third grade to my senior year of high school, I have been tested in every way, shape, and form and compared to kids all around the country. My test scores decided if I was able to move on to the next grade, what classes I took, and will soon factor into what college I will be attending. Those numbers have seemingly been the determinant in how successful I have been academically and how successful I am expected to be. Numbers even
It was just a typical night on April 20th, 2015, that I was on my computer talking with my friend through Skype who gave me the idea to make an account on Skout because I was stil trying to get over the break up with Chris. And that's how it all started.... I was just scrolling down then I noticed a certain picture of someone that caught my attention. And it was YOU. I knew from the moment I saw your picture on Skout I know you were gonna be someone special in my life. I didn't know wether or not to message you first or wait and see if you were to ever message me first. But my friend told me to take the courage to send you a simple message to see if you would even message. The next day to my suprise to see that you had actually replied. You
For this assignment, I began logging my media usage on September 3th thru September 5th. Over the course of those two days, I used my laptop computer (online and off online), my android mobile device, television, and social media outlets. The most challenging aspect of this assignment was actually documenting the “spare of the moment” social media usage that occurred when I was walking to class or waiting on a meeting. However, it was truly an eye opening assignment that displayed how the media is not only a part of my everyday life, it consumes my life.
Describe your writing process for this paper: How did you choose an article to analyze? What methods did you use to read and analyze the article? What methods did you use to brainstorm your ideas? How did you decide on the organization of your paper?
Identify two specific learning needs the student has as an English learner, based on the student description and the responses.
2. Why did you write this piece? Even if the piece began with a prompt-- you took it from there --where did your inspiration come from?
When looking at the numbers of our table we can notice that the students who copied answers off another student's exam have the highest proportion of 0.53. This is makes sense, because it is the old-fashioned way of cheating and is easy especially when someone borrows a term paper or homework from a friend.
I wanted to take a minute to send you a summary and timeline of the events that took place on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 where voice and data services were unavailable for approximately 1 hour.
