The patients showed a high prevalence of sedentary lifestyles which led to the exercise duration and intensity of the exercise to gradually increase over the 3-month time period. It is to be noted that duration and intensity was only increased until the participants were exercising at a moderate intensity and using 55 – 69% of their max heart rate.
