Similar organization which adopted IR practice and Personal is NHS.The NHS UK practice managers work within the primary care sector, where they manage the overall running of general practices surgeries. Practice managers come from a variety of backgrounds and do not necessarily need to be a qualified healthcare professional. Industrial relations in the UK health care sector are characterised by high levels of social dialogue and joint regulation, particularly in the public part of the sector.

At Harrods the role of the line manager is to encourage communication targets and advice to employees through face-to-face interactions. This might involve sitting down in the staff room, or in a more formal setting, to agree objectives and to give advice about improvements and new ways of working. Acting as a coach helps the line managers to develop their managerial skills, build relationships and reinforce trust at Harrods.
Employees play the most vital role in HRM because they are the key advantage and we also must remember that high-performing and innovative employees are the foundation of productivity. Some major implications for HRM are, they can set direction and implement a company
Different scholars have defined the nature, scope, importance & purpose of HRM in different ways. I have been asked to provide a report that supports the retention of the HR function within our organisation. In this report I will explain how Human Resource activities support the organisations strategy and how HR professionals support line managers and their staff.
Human Resource Management (HRM) are activities managers perform to plan for attracting, develop, and retain a productive workforce (Kinicki & Williams, 2016). The role of human resource management is to prepare, develop, and administer policies and program designed to make expeditious use of an organization human resources. Part of control which is concerned with the people at work and with their relationship within an enterprise. HRM have their hands full; they have to face employees daily with a complaint, write-ups and sadly terminating of the worker. All areas of HRM such as, staffing, orientation, training, development, pay wages benefits are all significant parts that are dealt with daily. Human resource management presents itself as
Human resource management refers to the process of dealing with people or controlling them. It plays an important role in effective utilization of human resources and bringing effective people in an organization (Attridge, 2009). With the following research at DaVita, one shall come to know about the standard model of HRM and how it is employed in the strategic planning of an organizational structure.
By allocating a team to hire employees it makes the role of HRM much easier and efficient. This allows them to address the policies implemented much effectively. Human Resource Management covers four main areas; employee influence, work systems, human resource flow and reward management. Different roles of the HRM allows to manage the organisation thus fulfilling the assigned areas. One key role of HRM is the executive role, where the managers are viewed as specialists that encompass Human resources or people management. The audit role are concerned with the company’s HR policy thus checks the organisation to ensure all HR policies such as health & safety, staff appraisals are being implemented. The Management Information System in Harrods undertakes the facilitator role of the HRM, which helps or facilitate other departments to achieve the organisational strategy through the HR policies implemented. This in turn allows Harrods to maintain its identity as a Top Employer. Similarly the People Support team could be classed with the consultancy and service roles, allowing the department to act as internal consultants offering expertise, advice and assistance to line managers and other staff in order to achieve the organisational objective. (Brockbank, 2008). This ensures that the HRM values the importance of discretion, compliance and unwavering support.
HRM should ensure employees are focused on understanding customer needs and expectations of the organisation, if employees are aware of this, then are all aiming for the same goal and objectives of the business. This can be effective through clear communication. Understanding and communicating well with employees and managers is an important skill for HRM which, can only be leant by spending time and understanding the language of the employees and by using the language
The model emphasize on the vertical integration between the business strategy and HRM function. It promotes “Unitarism approach” i.e. managers and employees cannot have conflicting views as they are working to achieve the same goal and effective management of people will vary from organisation to organisation depending on organisation culture.
HRM is increasing in many different ways now. With so much new technology and different resources to pull from it gives HRM’s a chance to be very strategic and develop many ideas for the organization.
Human Resource Management (HRM) is the terminology used to illustrate formal systems devised for the management of people within an organization. It is the method of managing an organization or company that is directly related to the employees of that particular organization. The success of a business often rely heavily on the performance of managing human resource. Maximizing the desires and benefits of an organization and helping a business grow by rewarding employees to help motivate and push them in their performance is one of the main aim of HRM. By doing this, it will have a positive impact on both the company and it’s entire organization.
In the present case, Guest model of HRM can be applied as the situation can easily be understood by the major 6 dimensions of the model (Freeman and Ceriello, 2011). The model states that HRM is highly distinct from personnel management as the strategy it undertakes are highly changeable and effective.
