M1- Asses the implications of health and safety and security legislation and regulations for a business role in a work place.
This covers different roles with Super Group, I will be looking at the health, safety and security legislation and regulation have different implications. Ever since health and safety has been introduced into the work place they have to have set up and complete risk assessments due to the management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 legislation, for example if an employee at Super Group was set up a risk assessment and the first implication is to make sure they include all possible hazards and risks. The next implication of the risk assessment they have to make sure they involve is every employee that

This legislation applies to any landlord, manager (who ever is in charge) or the self employed, this act is simply in place to make sure the basic welfare of any employee and these are broken into two separate category’s facilities and the working environment.
I will now be looking at The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 legislation helps protect employees against electrical injuries that occur in the work place, each year in the UK there an estimated number of 1000 injuries at work all from electrical shocks or burns. They have to make sure all their equipment and supplies are safe by regular tests that show they are safe. At super Group the use of electrical equipment is daily they have many large machines and now in each department they use at least four laptops and other electrical equipment. There are three points every business has to make sure they follow: * Make sure their electrical equipment is constructed in a way that prevents danger, and making sure all the equipment is tested properly. * Maintain their electrical systems correctly to prevent

Under the Health & Safety at work Act I have many responsibilities as an employee. These responsibilities must be obeyed in order to maintain a safe working area and minimize any potential hazards or risks to yourself or others. Some of my responsibilities as an employee are as followed:
Electricity is a main hazard it can cause direct injury through chocks and cause of indirect injury through causing explosions. This can cause death and injury to others, the electricity at work regulations were passed to impose responsibilities to limit the risks involved with using electricity at workplaces. Most of these accidents can be avoided by careful planning and by providing safe and suitable equipment. For example replace damaged sections using connectors or cables couplers and ensure that equipment is safe when supplied and then maintain it in a safe

Safety and security protocols constitute mandatory in the work of electricians. The installation, repair and use of electricity are parameters that are subject to various risk factors. For electricians to work efficiently, knowledge on the security procedures, policies and strategies is essential. The safety competency ensures the utmost protection of data, users, institutions and the electricians among other entities. Without this core competency, the work of electricians is prone to errors that can result in fatalities.
Everywhere nowadays there is electricity and devices that rely on electricity. Society is driven by the need for energy and “electricity generating plants now consume two-fifths of U.S. energy from all sources, including about 90% of America’s coal and nearly 30% of its natural gas” (http://needtoknow.nas.edu/energy/energy-sources/electricity/). The world today would not be nearly as advanced had it not been for the increased use of electricity. Electricity has so many uses they are seemingly innumerable, from use in air conditioners to cool people down. To making sure that individuals can see in everyday life with the use of lighting, the list could go on forever. However with this massive increase in electricity use there are also very drastic safety precautions that must be followed to ensure safe use of electrical products. Safety is a huge part of using electricity because having even a low voltage travel through the human body can kill someone. From a very young age it is instilled that electricity is not something to play with and that adults should make sure an activity is safe.
