They result in the following environmental threats like greenhouse effect, acidification, over-fertilization and depletion of the ozone layer. Impact of metals-increasing levels of heavy metals such as mercury and lead in the ground raise the risk of these leaking into the rivers, lakes and seas. These elements cannot be broken down when repeatedly absorbed by organisms and they reach toxic levels. Exploitation of the natural environment-The eco-cycle dictates that natural resources are returned to the environment at the same rate as they are extracted. The use of fossil fuels like coal, oil and natural gases which are used in transport or to facilitate transport are extracted more than what can be returned thus going against the principle of eco-cycle. Expansion of transport requirements involves bringing down of tree and extracting from the ground which affects the environment. An example is the bypass that is running parallel to the Nairobi national park that is going to affect how the wildlife lives. Specific urban problems-The effects of transport can influence the psychological and social well-being. Gases emitted from vehicles like carbon monoxide can have adverse health effects like asthma. Noise from honking can cause stress and impaired hearing. (Colls J. et al, 2009) 2.2. Environmental impact of products
Dell is a multibillion-dollar corporation that helps empower individual and communities with their innovative technology. Dell requires that all suppliers (domestically and globally) comply with the laws and regulations where the suppliers conduct business. Using global suppliers, Dell will need to understand the logistics to from the foreign suppliers to the end customer’s doorsteps. This paper will advise the factors impacting Dell’s transportation needs. It will also recommend the logistic methods within the local region, domestic, and international shipments. Last, this paper will summarize Dell’s strategic requirements of global logistic. Global logistics will also explain what Dell will need to
Problems include; land degradation, air pollution, water pollution and loss of biodiversity. These harmful impacts to the environment need to be addressed with urgency (Djekic and Tomasevic, 2016).
Logistics and supply chain management is an important aspect of a firm’s strategy for the business to achieve success by creating value throughout the logistics and supply chain. The research paper will outline the concepts that are involved in creating the logistics and supply management framework. The logistics and supply chain management strategies will drive success for the company towards fulfilling and supporting customer needs, procurement and manufacturing operations of the firm.
Logistics is the one important function in business today. No marketing, manufacturing or project execution can succeed without logistics support. 'Logistics ' is the management of the flow of resources, not only goods, between the point of origin and the point of destination in order to meet the requirements of customers or corporations. Logistics is one of the main functions within a company. The main targets of logistics can be divided into performance related and cost related. They are high due date reliability, short delivery times, low inventory level and high capacity utilization. But when decisions need to be made, there is always a trade off between these targets.
Transportation by fuel-guzzling land, water, and air vehicles is rapidly depleting the fossil fuels, and causing air pollution. The flow from industries, fertilizer run off, and oil spills all hurt delicate ecosystems. Removing trees and other plants to grow places of civilization causes loss and treats the survival of many species of animals and plants. There are many negative impacts along with population explosion. Using chemical fertilizers, insecticides,

many other are causes of our planet’s degradation. All these have been observed in our city,
Technology is making distribution, processing, production, development, and exploration of natural resources and alternative resources more cost effective, and protective in regard to the environment. The Technology that we have today has given humans a way of reducing negative effects on the environment that we have caused; such as the depletion of natural resources, the burning of fossil fuels, and other behaviors which have caused negative environmental effects. One effective way for technology to have a positive impact on our environment is
Aquatic ecosystems are negatively affected by agricultural runoff because mercury and fertilizer decreases chance for reproduction and egg production. In addition, when chemicals and excess nutrients leak into the ground, it can be very dangerous to water quality in groundwater and drinking water. This spring, there has been a lot of heavy rainfall. In times like this, there will likely be a large amount of runoff.

Rising temperatures and sea levels along with the growing amount of croplands that are becoming useless put our environment into unfavorable positions with bleak projected futures.
Ship charges are €6000 per bus and unloading at the port of Santos costs €94 per bus.
Should the studies on climate change possess validity, then numerous human activities have altered the atmosphere of the Earth for the worse. Several among these activities categorize under the macrocosm of transportation. As a species, the human race continues to create and produce, which may contain threatening consequences based on these reports. Inside the category of transportation, every subcategory seems to partake in this, including automobiles, aircrafts, shipping, and railways, among countless others. Fortunately, various people and organizations have attempted to decrease the emission of greenhouse gases, or GHGs, in transportation-related technology and energy. When it comes to paying for these eco-friendly additions,
Transport plays a critical role in the supply chain and according to Bhattacharya et al. (2014) it is becoming one of the key components of the whole supply chain valuation for many organizations. Transportation is the movement of good from one location to another. Supply chain is a network of individuals, organizations, activities, resources and technology that is involved in formation and sale of a product, which is from the delivery of source materials from the supplier to the manufacturer, through to the end user. Hopkins (2007) states that supply chain professionals look at whole business procedures, which is from raw materials to manufacturing, wholesaling and retailing. And by
The reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions has become a priority at the local, national, and international levels and the time for action has arrived. Since the transportation sector
