Today, just about everyone depends on information and communication to keep their lives moving through daily activities. We need to be aware that the values we hold, the beliefs we harbor and the decisions we make are based on our assumptions, our experiences, our education and what we know for a fact. Mass media is relied on for the current news and facts about what is important and what we should be aware of. Media is considered a trustworthy source for news, information, education and entertainment. Though someone has to have thought behind an issue to write it.

Undocumented Immigration has been a staple in Republican political campaigns, who often use fear-mongering tactics to scare the public into fearing these people. The government even shut down as the Democrats and Republicans were unable to reach an agreement. However, providing a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants is favored by the majority of American Citizens and research shows that they help the American Economy, and lower the national crime rate well below the current statistics.

In the field of immigration politics, not one issue is scrutinized more than the question of whether or not undocumented immigrants should be allowed in the U.S. without fear of deportation. A dangerous question, especially to those with an unpopular opinion in public positions, but why is it this way? The answer lies in the volatile web of truth versus moral exaggerations, initiated and perpetuated by those manipulating the emotions of the public to mentally gerrymander themselves to positions of power. For example, there has been data collected from organizations and Philip E. Wolgin and Angela Maria Kelley wrote in their "The Public's View of Immigration" that “Five recent polls, run by organizations from across the political spectrum—from Fox News to Latino Decisions—unequivocally illustrate that the vast majority of Americans support smart solutions to immigration reform and reject mass deportation.” (Center for American Progress) This shows how Americans feel towards mass deportation. Michele Waslin reports, “despite claims to the contrary, all immigrants–including unauthorized immigrants–pay taxes. Like most Americans, immigrants pay sales, income, property, and other taxes to the federal, state, and local governments.” (Immigration Impact) Waslin is lifting up the truth about immigrates because many are misinformed that immigrants stay here and get welfare when in reality they do their part to live like citizens. However besides the stereotypes about immigration there is hardships I believe that there is also a big portion of income inequality towards education.
