At first I thought I wanted to be a Doctor like my brother Joey, to save people who were dying and cure illnesses. But after taking Biology I realized that human anatomy and blood weren’t my strong suit. As a young child, I was always drawn towards the field of health care. I remember reading about the many options that are held within it and wondering what path it would lead me on. Neonatal nursing was something that always came into my mind, but it was often pushed to the side by people and teachers who thought I should become a pediatrician instead. Two Budgets are your career and min wage. The career I want to have is to be a Forensic Nurse. First, the min wage is how much the state sets for you to get paid, it’s like a certain amount ($7.50). The career wage is basically how much money you get from the job that you get or want. The career wage is supposed to be basically like almost the same or better than min wage, if not something is all the way wrong. In the min wage when they tell you you are getting that amount, you sometimes get it or sometimes not. The career and min wage are supposed to be mainly different.

Asb has been a huge part of my life and is still currently is. I have held an Asb leadership position for three years and counting. Asb as opened many doors for me that I never knew were there. I have gotten myself out there more and have become more involved in the school, and in doing so I have also gotten many other students to be involved in school activities. Homecoming is my favorite activity of the year because it’s the time of the year that everyone comes out to the field to help paint the float. I feel that it is the time of the year that my leadership skills really stand out.

Mathematics is known to be very common throughout many careers including the California Highway Patrol. The CHP is a branch of law enforcement agency in the state of California that has jurisdiction over all the California highways. They use mathematics for many different things but the three main things math is used for in CHP are for accident investigations, chasing criminals, and shooting.

The career that I have decided to pursue is a physician assistant because this career seems like the right fit for me. A physician assistant, also known as a PA, practices medicine under a physician. Physicians assistants usually specialize in a certain area of medicine and they either work in private practices or hospitals. They partake in a wide range of jobs ranging from examining patients, ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing medicine, and many similar jobs that physicians do. In rural areas, PAs have the ability to be the primary physician because of the lack of physicians in the area. This career was located in my third top career cluster, health sciences, from the interest assessment and the career, was under the career pathway of therapeutic services. I feel like the I have the skills needed to fulfill this career because I enjoy helping people even though health sciences was not in my top five career clusters from the skills assessment.

I chose to research the occupation of becoming a Colorado State Patrol (CSP) Trooper for several reasons. The first being that for as long as I could remember, I have always wanted to serve my great country either in the military or as a law enforcement officer. I know that both fields are growing in need, while sadly shrinking in support so why not fulfill my career desires and do my part in serving my country. Within the California Highway Patrol there are many different factors that affect a person's work performance. Motivation or lack of motivation is one way that employee's work performance can be affected. Emotions and moods of the employee can also have a short-term affect on their work performance. It is incumbent for supervisors and managers within the CHP to recognize when they have an employee whose work performance is affected by one of these issues and address them appropriately. As a child , my father would often allow me to go with him to work, at his hospital on my days off from school. I would walk through the halls silently following the doctors and listening to all that's said and how they helped or will help the patients. I remember asking my dad how each equipment works and him explaining them to me.
