This is my fourth semester attending Lamar Institute of Technology. The thing that seemed to be most difficult was that most students are not offered outside opinions on teachers and the classes offered. It seems like a challenge due to the fact that as students he or she does not know what he or she are getting into. Registering for classes was pretty simple as you sit in front of an advisor and pick out classes they suggest. Literally giving you less than ten minutes to choose teachers based on times and what days of the week they occur. This can cause a conflict of interest of not getting to know who he or she will be spending a whole semester with by trying to find strategies to survive. Given this he or she has issues selecting teachers …show more content…
He or she would like to know if they will get along with a teacher or will they look forward to a semester of trouble of not getting along for 16 weeks. When registering for classes it would be a lot easier if he or she had a small simple description of the teacher and the course they are about to take. Each teacher is different and how they teach the classes. Certain students learn a different way and this could be a key element to helping a student pass if they knew how the teacher taught. It could ease a student into new classes if they knew information about his or her future teacher and that they know what to expect on the first day of classes relieving stress and anxiety. In conclusion, it would help a student make an appropriate choice of a teacher and their course if a student were offered a description or outside opinions. Many learn by different ways and if a description of how the teacher taught could help a student learn faster and understand the course a lot better. It would help him or her know if they have similar interest to the teacher of specific

The Legislative Branch has the job of creating bills, which are later given back and forth to the House of Representatives and the Senate, then hopefully to the president to become a law. When I studied bills that were in session by representatives, I found that most of the bills created never became laws. This happens often because community representatives and senators have difficulties agreeing on bills. I also noticed that Representatives were not frequent at creating bills based on the issues they cover. For instance, the Representative for the 63133 District of Missouri, Lacy Clay, sponsored the H.R.3683 bill, which was only introduced and was last altered November 20, 2015. The H.R.3683 focuses on getting programs that exemplify the
After reviewing the discussion of genre in Chapter 8 of Film: From Watching to Seeing, demonstrate your understanding of one selected genre using a feature-length film.
Amanda and Erica’s grades may differ for a variety of reasons. Studies show that the more academic activities a parent is involved in is significantly associated with their child having higher literacy achievement, lower rates of grade retention, and fewer years needing special education (Miedel & Reynolds, 2000). Amanda’s father’s income, education, and occupation also all correlate with her literacy abilities (Buckingham, Wheldall, & Beaman-Wheldall, 2013). Parental education has the strongest influence of the three (Buckingham, Wheldall, & Beaman-Wheldall, 2013).
1. A 23-month-old infant with a heart condition presented to the ED. The physician examined the infant and , after reviewing the patient's history of a heart condition, ordered a transport to a specialty cardiac hospital. This specialty hospital is 150 miles away from the current hospital. The physician accompanies the patient in the ambulance to monitor blood pressure and pulse oximetry and to review portable ECG tracings. It takes 1 hour and 44 minutes to transport the patient to the cardiac hospital
For this assignment, I will use the websites, lab and materials from this week and complete an internet search of my own on chromosomes. I will write a two- page essay that explains how conditions caused by extra or missing chromosomes reflect a meiotic error. I will also choose two conditions or diseases to review. Also, distinguish among the modes of inheritance.
For this week’s discussion board question I decide to go out and try to find details about a person and see if I could get them to let me use their phone. I thought that this would be a challenge and people would be very unlikely to trust a stranger who they didn’t know and expected to be rejected multiple times. I also thought this would be difficult for me because I am a very introverted person and don’t feel comfortable talking to people if I don’t know them. Amazingly, it was very easy to do and on my first try I was able to get someone to let me use their phone.
I am originally from California I spent more than 15 years of my life there and I still have family living that lives there now. I have lived in a few states Montana, Texas, Utah and Washington of course.
When I first took the test to see what I scored, I was surprised with many of my results.
On Friday, 17 July 2015, at approximately 1400 hours, I, Officer Allison Bigham, was contacted by a Parks Services Supervisor, Andrew Jones, in regards to an associate who was reported to have their cell phone on them. Jones stated that Miller had already been told to put the phone in her locker; however, she was being uncooperative. After updating Sergeants Frank Long and Charles Drakeford on the situation, I was instructed to pick up the associate, Victoria Miller, and escort her to the South Carolina Interview Room in order to complete a compliance verification audit. I met with Andrew Jones who stated that he would help me find Miller because Park Services had no way to contact her. Upon entering Boomerang Bay, Jones and I were flagged
This week, the most difficult part of the reading assignment was section 1.7 Transformations. While the beginning was easy enough for me to follow I soon started to become bogged down with the number of types. I counted seven definitions in the chapter, all rather long, that included vertical shifts, horizontal shifts, reflections, vertical scalings, horizontal scalings and transformations. I read the entire section at least five times and the examples, especially towards the end of the section, a few times more before understanding it well enough to at-tempt the exercises. The examples were really good and had an artistic quality about them which I found interesting. Thinking back on the reading it was the tables themselves that con-fused me and which I needed to follow close, and with greater thought, to really understand. Even though there’re meant to further comprehension, which after careful following they do, it took me a few read overs. Sometimes getting lost in all the x, (x,f(x)), f(x), g(x) = f(2x), etc.. overwhelmed me and I had to move forward and come back to it later. I will give credit as the section was well explained well by the authors.
The reason we want to capitalise the lease commitments is that reporting under operating assets leads to substantial amounts of off-balance-sheet assets and liabilities. Hence, it is difficult to compare financial statements between two similar companies but use different accounting methods for essentially the same transaction.

Besides all the good stuff, a lot of people doubt that students grading teachers will have positive results. Many educators believe that students are far too immature to handle the responsibility of critiquing a professional. One author (referring to students) states, “They may like or dislike their teachers depending upon the amount of homework he/she gives, the easiness of his tests, the leniency of the marking, their appearance, temper and such other things that appeal to the students” (Gupta, 2010, para. 4). Teachers are afraid of these biased opinions. Some even doubt the mindset of college students. The main issue that is raised is whether or not students can handle the fact that
