High school. A time to make more friends and prepare for college and your future beyond that. Mouth changed the most in Sleeping Freshman Never Lie because at the beginning of the book he was such a full spirited kid, then at the end of the book he tried to kill himself, and also because throughout the book Mouth started to change because he realized he was dropping more friends than he had initially. Mouth changed the most in Sleeping Freshman Never Lie because in the beginning of this book he was just a Freshman, full of life, but in the end of the novel he tried to kill himself. “He got called Loud Mouth the moment we started school. It was shortened to Mouth after that” (Lubar 8). This quote proves that Mouth did talk a lot, and how it was easy for people to get annoyed, and to start developing inadequate thoughts about him. Mouth was always talkative at the bus stop, at school, and pretty much anywhere else and it was sad to see how things people said about Mouth affected him so much to the point he tried to take his own life. …show more content…

This quote shows how even Scott knows that Mouth doesn’t have really any friends, and even after trying to kill himself, people still don’t care to visit him to see if he is okay. Mouth ended up moving schools in the end of the book to and even though that’s physical, it affects mouth mentally because he has a fresh start with new people he doesn’t even know, and because of the fact he talks and talks, the people at his new school might not like him, and he would have a hard time making friends, and maybe even try to commit suicide a second
