Differences Between Middle School And High School

I attended Heritage Middle School in East Cleveland. There were kids coming from everywhere: Superior Elementary, Caledonia Elementary, Chambers Elementary and Mayfair Elementary. I had came from Mayfair Elementary school. Middle school was definitely different from elementary school, there was a lot to get used to. The first day of school is always nervous to me, before I get to my class I’m wondering will I have the some of the people I had in elementary school. I was a little relieved to see some other the people I knew in my class. But the other faces I wasn’t familiar with . Switching class was hard to do at first do as time went on it got easy. First, the homework you have in high school is quite a bit different than middle school. In middle school we had homework almost everyday in most of our classes. In high school we have homework about once or twice a week for each class depending on the class and project. In middle school I believe we had way more homework than we do in high school. The homework in high school is also easier. Some people struggle with homework but I just sit down and do it so then after I can do whatever I want. I think high school is a lot different than in middle school.

For example you will have many different teachers throughout the day, and be in many different classrooms throughout the day. Another thing that is different is that before gym class you are going to have to change into gym clothes, instead of your regular ones, other wise you will get docked points, and end up failing the class. Also once you start middle school you will quickly find out the days are longer than what they used t be in elementary school. In middle school you have the option of tacking Ban or Choir, and if you do not choose either of the two you will be places in a study hall. Study hall is a time where you get to do homework durning school, rather than doing it at your house. The biggest difference is that you will have sports practice after school, and if you fail to get good grades, which is anything lower than a C - you will have to sit out until you get your grade back to passing.

Middle school to high school is a big jump from not only school to school but also new people coming into our school, harder academics, sports are now a part of your school life, and a jump from school to school. My thoughts on high school have really changed over the past few weeks. When I first realized that we we're going to be in high school shortly, I got a little freaked out. Although I know alot of high schoolers and specific people that go to West I still feel overwhelmed by the fact that i'm going from a 600 person school to a 1,200+ person school. For the longest time I felt if high school would be the hardest part of my life and getting accustomed to the new setting would be hard for me, I thought the people there we're mean and

The hallways full of lockers, teachers, and students is the start to any academic future, despite the differences high school and middle school bring. High school and middle school have many differences, some not as large as others. From decorated middle school lockers, to the red and black cardinal spirited lockers at the high school, is just one tiny difference between the two (BE10). Major differences include the homework given, how intense high school sports are, and more classes available in high school than middle school. Among the many differences, high school is brought to another level of expectations, requirements, and responsibility. To anyone thinking high school is just something to float on by, will have a rude awakening soon to arise.

Middle school was very fun though and it matured me a lot for high school I also learned a lot of things in middle school that have helped me in highschool I also still have some of my middle schools teachers now like Ms.Bowen that was my favorite teacher in middle school she was very cool. Going from a middle school to high school pretty much for anybody can tend to be challenging. High school is the place where you start to mature yourself and better yourself for later on in life for whatever the future may bring. Coming from 8th grade entering into high school as a freshman depending on where you're at can be tough, you really start to realize that you are starting to have responsibilities. You may not start feeling that way in the beginning which in my case I could say the same, but it definitely comes. Converting as an 8th grader to high school you notice the teachers don't baby you in situations if it's your work or your project it's your job to know what's going on the teachers definitely won't look for you.

Time, like always, blew by. Middle school brought its own challenges, as it does for all kids. You struggled with the person you wanted to be, made hard choices about what you valued. Dad and I tried to guide you, but you made decisions on your own, and they were always the right ones. We could clearly see that you were a natural leader and persistent worker. High school only cemented those traits about you, and then, amazingly, you were again ready to move to a different world.

To start, everyone goes to Elementry school then to middle school but have to ever wonder how different they are. Elementry school is so fun with playgrounds and after school activities. But when you here about Middle school I was so excited to go. I found out that it is so exciting and different. Some differences and similarities between Middle School and Elementary School include the size of school, number of grades, and classes. These are some of the many things Middle School so enjoyable.

Transferring from elementary to junior high was a big change for me and my classmates. Many of the things that scared us was having lockers, trying to find the rught class rooms and meeting new and bigger people. The only students that we knew were the kids a grade ahead of us and they all pitched in to help us find everything we needed. Having a new principal was also a different experience. Meeting Mr. Davis for the first time everyone was a little scared since we didnt know anything about him and that he was a little loud. But we would later realized that he would be one of our best friends.

Things was completely different but the same. The work was harder and different from the work I had in middle school even the teachers I had was also different as well. My transition going into high school was different. It happened to be a different type of scenery and I didn’t expect for that to happen to me at that time. Being a freshman opened up a whole different world for me that I wasn’t really ready for. Going into highschool, I had friends I thought I would be friends with for my entire life. As soon as I got to high school things started to change. On top of the friends I had I also made new friends as well. When I was a freshman I had to look up to the upperclassmen to guide me and to lead me by example. When I was a freshman, it meant I had to be on my P’s and Q’s. I felt a lot of pressure when I was a freshman especially from teachers. Fitting in while I was a freshman wasn’t a good start for me because I wasn’t really involved into any school activities or

I like the high school more than the middle school because we can leave for lunch and there are windows here. I liked seeing all of my friends and meeting new teachers. i liked all of my classes but they wouldn't let change some of my classes. I didn't have any core classes except science. I got really easy classes with a lot of my friends in most of them.
