Definition Essay: The Definition Of Success

To me success is accomplishing the goals, doing things the right way, and doing what you love.

Success is a word that really hard to define, because everyone will have a different definition for this word. In fact, there no exact definition for the word "success". For a student, maybe the success means to pass all courses of the semester; for a business man, signing a importance contract and get a lot of money are successes; and for a president, leading the country to develop and make the people have a better life are success. For me, I also have my own definition for the word "success". When I was a kid, I really want to be a scientist, but after I become mature, my thinking has become more mature and my definition of success also

The definition of success is in the eye of the beholder. More than three-fourths of your life is spent working to become successful. People are told during childhood to work as hard as they can so they can grow up and make lots of money. But the word success can be taken in many different ways. Everyone has a different understanding of what success means to them. Generally, success means fulfilling the goals that you set for yourself. For some, success is measured by popularity and riches; for others success is determined by the amount of happiness that they feel.

It does not matter as long as you go as long as you do not stop. My definition of a success is someone who tries as hard as they can in life. First, my definition of a success is someone who has worked really hard to get where they are now, it does not matter how much money they are making, or what job they have, it matters how hard they worked to get there. Second, my Uncle, Brian, is someone I would count as successful, he has worked so hard for years, and now he is a doctor. Last, I would also count my Aunt, Elizabeth, as a success, she has worked hard her entire life to get where she is today, she is a physical therapist. Therefore, my definition of a success is someone who tries their very best to be where they are now.

What is your definition of success? My definition of success is achieving the highest goal that you set for yourself and overcoming all odds to achieve that goal.

What does success really mean? Although the term success has one fundamental definition; it partakes in many different meanings when being the subject raised in discussion. As children and young adults, we are told to try our best to succeed at our goals and ambitions, no matter how unique or challenging they may be. Growing up in a conventional family, I was raised in no different approach. However, one major failure I faced while growing up was not making the varsity bowling team during my freshman year of high school. I felt like I had let my family down. Success is like a delicate red rose blooming, everyone is successful at doing their own thing. My own definition for success is being wealthy because if we do not have any money, we will not get anywhere in life. First, my definition for success is being wealthy and having progress in life. No money means no successes in the future for the new generation of people. Second, Donald Trump is a successful president because he has the money and dignity to be successful. Last, Dolly Parton is successful at making money. She first started out in the country music business then she decided that she wants to make everyone happy, so that is why she made Dollywood. After that she was making progress, so therefore, that is how she is a huge success.

What is success? Is it the process of doing a task and receiving a positive result acceptable amongst the community, or is it simply achieving ones own personal goals? Success to me can mean many things. Although I am successful in school, that does not necessarily mean I will lead a successful life.

Success is one of those words that does not have a uniform definition that can apply to every circumstance. Success can mean plenty of things; to someone who started out with nothing and gained little, they would see themselves as successful. On the other hand, someone who started off with plenty can have a different idea of success from the person who started with nothing. I am one of those people who started off with nothing; my parents and I immigrated to the United States from Nigeria and to my family back in Nigeria, I am very successful. Yet I see myself doing much more; my definition of success may change over time, but there is one thing that I expect to have in all my ideas of success: Being so successful that your success rubs off on other people who need it.

Success is like balance, tedious and differing, always needing adjustment to match a each differing situation. Balance is such a simple thing, yet people are so amazed by the feats it can achieve. Balance is a strange and untouchable thing, always wavering in the distance, never able to be reached. Balance is a mythical and miraculous thing that people are always trying to achieve, yet is so hard to get to. Just as is success. Success is simple and amazing, strange and incorrigible, mythical and miraculous. People always strive to reach success in their lives, to finally meet that end goal they were striving after so long. Both balance and success are goals people strive to achieve yet are so hard to get to. And each is just as subjective as the other.

What makes someone a success? In my opinion, to be a success you must be viewed as one by others by achieving a difficult goal. Anyone can feel successful, depending on how they define success, but that does not mean others will think they are a success. I believe a big part of the idea of success is your point of view. I also think that in order to be seen as a success you must accomplish a goal that will astonish others.

For me, success is doing what makes you happy and completing your own goals, not the ones that others set for you. I cannot wait to feel my own success after graduating college and getting a job and being able to do everything I have ever wanted to. I am excited to see what successes I can achieve in the future.
