California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory (CCTDI) was implemented in order to collect quantitative data, and this particular inventory was designed to measure the disposition to think critically. Open-ended interviews were implemented to access candidates’ opinions regarding the method applied within the course, and independent t-test (or statistical hypothesis test) samples along with paired t-test samples were used to analyze quantitative data. Results indicated candidates had a positive outlook regarding the Moodle platform’s online argumentation application and the improvement it provided in critical thinking skills. The information contained within this article was well supported, as the data stresses the importance of critical thinking in academic environments and how those environments have changed over the years due to the prevalence of computers and technological advances. Argumentation implementation is a modernized, structured approach for both students and teachers alike to engage in basic reasoning strategies, which in turn enhances any educational program if the individuals involved are comfortable sharing ideas/opinions/perspectives, asking questions, asserting and supporting arguments, as well as having the ability to …show more content…
