Methodology Setting The research will be conducted at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). Accordingly, the research proposal will be submitted to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for human subjects review and approval. Participants The sampling frame will consist of freshmen students enrolled in introductory level courses in the math, English, and psychology departments for three consecutive years. A convenience sampling procedure based on the normally occurring matriculation of students will be employed in this research. A sufficiently large number of subjects will be recruited to offset issues related to attrition or withdrawal from the study. Collaborators Department heads for each of the disciplines will be contacted by email to alert them to a forthcoming request for access to students enrolled in their courses. The department heads will be asked to make initial contact the professors in their department to plumb for interest in the study. Complete packets of information describing the study purposes and procedure will be provided to those professors and department heads who indicate that they are willing to assist with access to study participants. Data collection and data analysis will be conducted by this author and by research assistants recruited by the author, such as teaching assistants and students enrolled in the social sciences classes Research Paradigm This study is grounded in phenomenology and uses a mixed methods approach
In response to the question set, I will go into detail of the study, consisting of the background, main hypotheses, as well the aims, procedure and results gathered from the study; explaining the four research methods chosen to investigate,
Methodological Issues Article Review. Read the following articles, which can be accessed through the ProQuest database in the Ashford University Library:
Although the amount of research conducted is valid to the nature of the source, it is insufficient for in-depth study purposes. There are no official studies or other valid sources used in this article and a bibliography, naturally, is not provided.
The sample will consist of current University of Texas at Dallas students from different classification levels. An estimation of 80-100 surveys will be taken. Demographic collection will be collected prior to administration and will compose of age, gender, and classification level, if they are currently attend UTD, along with whom and where the participant lives.
The target population for this study were forty White people from Colorado State University. The use of only white people was because they wanted to reflect the ethnic diversity of Colorado State University. In the year 2013-2014, Colorado State University undergraduates had 22,565 students and 74.36% considered them as white and 2.09% considered them as Black. In the second experiment, fifty-nine participants from Colorado State University participated in this experiment that had course credit in Introductory Psychology. This was a non-probability sample because this does not give all the individuals in the population equal chances of being selected. They only used one college and this college was not as diverse.
An introduction to the study that provides an overview of the issues studied and discussed:
Forty eight undergraduate volunteers (24 males and 24 females) from Bryant University took part in this study. The average age of participants was recorded at 20.22 years (SD=1.13). No cultural

This study was done at the University of Tampa in Tampa, Florida. 23 Students enrolled in a Research Methods class at the university each interviewed 10 people attending the university. This was a convenient sample, where the researchers went around campus finding people who were easy to reach. Each person interviewed had to be enrolled in at least one course at the university. Researchers were encouraged to interview a diverse sample of people so that the results could represent the population as a whole. Cross-sectional methods were used, researchers were given a little over a week to find and interview people for the study. Results were collected by doing face-to-face interviews with an average interview time of ten minutes.
A total of 20 college students. One man and nineteen women of a large City University, Queens College. The mean age of the participants was 20 and were chosen through convenience sampling. Participants were not compensated for their participation because it was part of their course fulfilment.
The research was broken up into two phases. The first phase, a random sample 350 people of the student population at a large, public, university in the mid-western United States completed a one-page
Section III provides the literature review. The data description and empirical design are presented in Section III. Concluding remarks follow in Section IV.
This research proposal has been presented for examination with my approval as chairperson of the department;
A ranked random sampling procedure was conducted to recruit a diverse group of individuals. Eligible participants were first-year students who were U.S. citizens or permanent residents, living within 25 miles of the campus, and were younger than the age of
In this chapter, the researcher presents and discusses approaches, design and methods to be employed in this study. This chapter further introduces the justification and rationale behind the choice of the research design, method, and analytical process upon which this study will be founded. It also highlights details of the research design, target population, sampling procedures and technique, data collection tools, analysis and presentation as well as ethical consideration.
