However, both are set in entirely different eras, one in sixteenth century France and the other in eighteenth century Southern states of U.S.A. When I was watching the movie I saw some stuff that was not the same as the book was, therefore I will write the things that are different. The first one that I saw was that in the book Mary never went outside, but in the movie she was playing outside in the sand. Scream Factory’s double feature Blu-ray releases are a great way to enjoy two movies for a fraction of the price (unless you’re buying from Amazon Canada, in which case you pay double the price). Their latest double feature release is probably one of the better double features lately, giving us two highly enjoyable movies by the way of Destroyer and Edge of Sanity. The Blu-ray itself doesn’t feature any special features save for a trailer, but the movies entertainment values more than make up for any features that are lacking. After seeing three Chaplin films at this point in chronological order it is not hard to notice the extreme difference from the film “City Lights” to Chaplin’s earlier films “Mabel’s Predicament” and “The Pawnshop”. In terms of cinematography it is real easy to see the differences in these films. To begin the cinematography is different in that in the first two films most of the shots are wide shots and with very minimal cuts. Also the lengths of the first two films are very short “Mabel’s Predicament” is only 11 minutes long and “The Pawnshop” is 29 minutes long.

There is a movie made in 2002 called Windtalkers that was about the Navajo code talkers. This was the first time a lot of people had ever heard of the bravery and sacrifice of the American Indians during World War 2. Of course this is a Hollywood so liberties are taken for dramatic purposes but it served its purpose of exposing the masses to the invaluable contribution to the war effort. The government by this time had, had a long track record of horrible abuse to the American Indians, but that did not stop them from enlisted and making the same sacrifices as everyone else. Sadly the treatment of the American Indians would still be the same as far as the government was concerned. The treatment from the government and other soldiers as well as the contributions to the war effort became a turning point for both
