As the new director of a childcare center serving families from a high-risk community, I would look to the National Association for the Education of Young Children’s (NAEYC) Code of Ethical Conduct Supplement for Early Childhood Program Administrators for guidance in how to conduct myself in a responsible and professional way (Baptiste & Reyes, 2009). This supplement was adopted July 2006 for the purpose of giving administrators whose programs care for young children guidelines to help them make responsible decisions as an administrator. This code has five sections (Ethical Responsibilities to Children, Ethical Responsibilities to Families, Ethical Responsibilities to Personnel, Ethical Responsibilities to Sponsoring Agencies and Governing Bodies, and Ethical Responsibilities to Community, Society, and the Field of Early Childhood Education) and is broken up into two subsections (Ideals and Principles) (Baptiste & Reyes, 2009). The ideals subsections are what child care professionals should strive to achieve, whereas the principles subsections are what guide professionals in their conduct and in making ethical decisions (Baptiste & Reyes, 2009). Utilizing this code of ethical conduct, I will attempt to fix the rift in trust between the parents of the children at my child care center and my staff (including myself as the director).

NAEYC code of ethics are guidelines for childhood educators who teach and work with children from birth to eight years old. There are four main overlying points that the code supports. Child educators need to learn and be able to apply these codes. The first of these points deals with the different responsibilities that come with working directly with children. First off child educators need to feel comfortable working around children, if they feel comfortable the child will also feel comfortable. The educator needs to make sure there is room for academic growth by providing multiple opportunities for learning in a comfortable environment.
The NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct is knew for providing guideline to early childhood providers in moral and ethical sense. Early childhood educators need the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct to protect children and their families’ rights. The Code of Ethical Conduct allows to every child regardless of his/her religion, native language, and development differences. In Section 1: Ethical Responsibilities to Children is intensive time for young children. Early childhood education left lasting effect on children growth and development.
The article is stimulating to know that others states take action quickly to shield children from further abuse in their homes. The Indiana's Child Protective Services (CPS), offers a service to prevent out-home placement, and assistance to rejoin children with their families in situations where the children can return home (Indiana, 2015). This service is good, if the parents are able to resume the responsibility of taking care of their children.
All members of the staff must act as professionals while at work, especially with young children. The administrative and teaching staff must work together to ensure their practices are developmentally appropriate, and share new and/or creative ideas with one another. It is also the responsibility of a teacher to establish an open, trusting relationship with the parents of each children in their care. Thus, parents can freely communicate their thoughts, concerns, and/or suggestions about their child or the program. Parent satisfaction is something that every child care or development center should strive for.
Early childhood is a time of curiosity, a time for play, and a time of rapid development. Every child is unique and deserving of an early childhood education that facilitates academic, social, and developmental growth through a variety of enjoyable experiences. Differentiated instruction adapts content, products and processes to meet the diverse learning needs and preferences of students (Thousand, Villa, & Nevin, 2007). Friedrich Froebel, the creator of Kindergarten, believed that children grow and learn as they play (Bruno, 2009). Play-based instruction not only enables young learners to have fun, but it also encourages interactive and cooperative learning, passion for discovery, and a foundation for later learning experiences

Also children know that there are adults in the day care centre who they can approach if they have any issues for example if a child is suffering from neglect at home the staff at the day care centre and other multi agencies will work together to improve the child’s situation, so that he will stop suffering from neglect at home.

Along with knowing the purpose of quality daycare/child care facilities, the next important factor is to be aware of what generates a high quality daycare/child care facility. It is vital to know the characteristics because these prime objectives are the driving forces influenced by what children need in order to succeed and grow in their developmental skills. Fundamentally, “High quality [preschool] education can support early development in ways that yield long term social, cognitive and emotional benefits” (Barnett 2005, p1). The most essential aspect of a high quality facility are the trained, certified and attentive teachers hired to support children’s developmental needs. They ensure this by respectful interaction,
The culture of the hospital is well established; therefore, their members have common understanding on the beliefs, values, and assumptions expected. In turn, this governs how people behave in the hospital. The formal components of St. Jude’s ethical culture are: their mission, core values, and code of ethics, structure, boards of directors, rewards of performance evaluation systems, reporting and communicating systems, and ethics officer. A code of ethics is a document that every profession agrees to abide by, it lets the public know that a profession is serving the public in a good way, and the services is going to be acceptable moral conduct. A code of ethics permits a profession to speak with a knowledgeable voice. It provides support for behaving in a justify way when there is pressure or temptation to do what is quickest or what will make people admire us. The reason early childhood educators should follow a code of ethics because they have a daily influence on the lives of children, teachers are held to high expectations. Early childhood development meant may be defined as the critical years of education for toddlers. During these years they become increasingly aware of their surrounds and the behavior. Children will adapt to the behaviors which are visual to them. During these years child absorb more information than the average adult over a 4 year span. This is because their sole purpose is to learn and grow. As parents, we have to be very aware of the surrounds and things we present them with. Behavior learned now will carry out. The question of teaching them moral ethics at this point is a controversial issue.
