The website my group choose to do our rhetorical analysis on is CNN. CNN stands for Cable News Network. CNN was founded by Ted Turner and 25 other members in 1980. CNN was originally a tv channel. CNN lasted from 1980-2003 on tv. In 9995 CNN was made into a website. The website attracted growing interest and is now one of the most popular news websites in the world. The widespread growth of blogs, social media and user-generated content have influenced the site.The website CNN helped us find the observations “(what)”, examples “(how)”, analysis “(why)” to rhetorical concepts. We figured out how to use the concepts and how not to use the concepts. The rhetorical concepts are audience, purpose, Ethos, Logos, and Pathos. By observing the website CNN the audience is mainly for politicians and students. The reason the audience is politicians and students is because of the titles such as “Today in politics” which are for politicians. The titles such as “Top stories” help to inform students to create research papers. The reason why it is for politicians is because politicians enjoy being updated on politics which CNN provides for them. The reason it is for students is because of the specific topics under the “Top stories” category which can provide information that students need for research analysis. …show more content…

The website CNN helps inform people with the top bullet points such as sports , politics, and world affairs. The sports helps inform people what is going on with sports like what happened in a game, and like if there is a type of trade in baseball, or basketball. The reason why CNN helps to inform people is because it keeps observers up to date on specific topics and information located inside these bullet
