3.8. Statistical technique used: The analysis of the data was done by employing the following statistical techniques which were chosen only after the investigator found them to be most appropriate and compatible to the data. Each statistical method is based upon its own specific assumptions regarding the nature of the sample, its universe and research conditions. These factors were considered in advance. Following statistical measures were

The main purpose of this article is to examine various research on the etiology of stuttering. The experimental research explored various brain circuitries involved, specifically the the basal ganglia. Furthermore, the meta-analysis discussed neuroimaging, lesion, pharmacological, and genetic studies on the neural circuitries connected to persistent developmental stuttering and acquired neurogenic stuttering.

In the periodical article, “South Africa: The Drug Trade's Bitter Taste," published by IRIN, a Kenyan-based news agency, states that South Africa is trying to reduce its issues, and that drugs correlate with crime rates in SA. The article supports this claim by detailing on a drug known as “tik”, or crystal methamphetamine. The drug causes aggressive behavior, which can last up to three or four hours, and is common in areas with high crime rates (South Africa: The Drug Trade's Bitter Taste). In addition, the article believes that certain drugs are used often by members of certain races. For example, it listed tik as a largely-used drug by the mixed raced population, while sugar, a mixture of cocaine and heroin, is used more by the Indian population (South Africa: The Drug Trade's Bitter Taste). Afterwards, the periodical states that one reason crime rates increase because of drugs is that people commit thievery in order to pay for their next hit. Towards the end of the text, the IRIN noted that while SA’s drug trade was parallel to its economic growth and disposable income, it’s also increased the amount of people in need of rehabilitation. The Institute for Security Studies’ Huebschle believes drug trade to be an international issue that needs every country’s help to reduce drug trade. SA’s police have

The intentions from the articles chosen to lead to the importance of educational research. In the context of the research article presented there is a correlation between educational research and policy research. The correlation is the educational aspect of research ranging from rigorous to systematic. However, there is less agreement about specific standards, criteria, and research procedures. Therefore, educational researchers may draw upon a variety of disciplines. These disciplines include psychology ,sociology, and anthropology, and the philosophical views of a researcher’s perspective. So, to understand the concept of research, we the reader must understand how information is obtain through evidence -based
In the beginning of lecture, we began to learn about the social context of schools via “The Widening Academic Achievement Gap between the Rich and the Poor” by Sean F. Reardon, written in 2011, Reardon looked at the economic, political and community the students live in. This has been a constant class conflict in the United States ever since modern education first took shape. How those born with a silver spoon would have a much easier life. In addition, the difference between larger cities; more populated and urbanized, along with the smaller communities which have far less of each. As the country became more urban, the idea of differences between big cities and small towns arose. The same with growth of the K-12 school system. From this high school diplomas where once all a person needed to live a sustainable life. Now a college degree is required for nearly every job that provides a standard wage of living. Thus, my research question, stims from the “Why drop out?” Others have looked at this question, in other fields such as John Alspaugh who wrote “The Effect of Transition Grade to High School, Gender, and Grade Level Upon Dropout Rates” in 2000.
80% of them are in developing countries and nine out of ten of them do not attend school. 11% of all children in the world are working instead of learning due specifically to child laboring practices, but also to help support the family and bring in income (“Ten Reasons Why Children…”). However, if this is not the case, it is still a hassle to come up with the money to pay school fees, buy uniforms, and school supplies. The average cost of education per student increased from $3,400 in 1965 to $8,745 in 2001 and almost 70% of families removed certain schools as a choice because of costs compared to the 58% who did so in 2008 (“Fewer Parents Can Pay...”). By reducing the cost for a parent to send their child to school, the benefits of schooling become more prevalent and most parents will choose a better future for their children and send them to school. After abolishing school fees in Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania, enrollment increased from 3.4 million to 5.7 million students in Uganda in 1996; from 5.9 million to 7.2 million in Kenya in 2003; and from 1.5 million to 3 million in Tanzania in 2002 all within the first year (“The Case For…”).
The research methodology can be described as the different processes, structural dispensation, framework, methods, designs, and systems through which the social scientist intends to empirically carry out his or her research work. It is concerned with the detailed pattern and techniques upon which the researcher premises various activities concerned with exploring, describing or interpreting various social realities and phenomena of which his social world is besotted or by which he or she is intrigued (Sarantakos, 2005).
There is no doubt that most of social researches are always really in a need of using theory, leading to a requirement on using approach methods rationally. There have three types of research approaches including deduction, induction and abduction. Each possess their own logical approaching basing on characteristic so that researchers are highly advised to consider literature review careful before choosing an approach to maximise outcomes of researches (Saunders et al, 2012a)
India’s government funded school program was established about 65 years ago, to provide “free and compulsory education to all children and [to begin] transforming the elite education system inherited from its colonial past into a mass education program” . Tremendous progress has been made in achieving this goal. The number of students who are unreached by schooling has fallen by about twenty million in just about three years . When this goal was set out only about eighteen percent of India’s adults possessed basic literary skills, preceding that, in 1905 slightly
