I feel disposed,sometimes volunteers work you must undertake and you certainly aren't doing it because you desire to. For example, let's say your church or school is doing a service project and you do not wish to go, but your parents or leaders’ pressure you to take apart of the activity. It is similar to any other contract as there is still an aspect of an offer and an acceptance (usually an employer offering employment to the employee, who shall accept). It can be formed verbally, but should be set out in writing as evidence. This can include an advert, any communications (emails, letters) or a formal contract. However, under section 1 of the Employment Rights Act (1996), the employee must receive a written formality of employment, detailing any terms and conditions, within two months of starting their new job (even if there was no formal contract before accepting the job).

The selection of a quality employee is a vital to the success of an organization but just as important is ensuring that the company retains the quality employee. Potential employees are attracted to organizations that meet their needs both their intrinsic and extrinsic needs. It is doing the selection process that both the employee and the employer are able to determine if these needs can be met. Extrinsic needs are satisfied by the salary that employers are able to provide employees. Intrinsic needs are making an employee feel safe and needed which is accomplished through performance appraisals.

Human Resources is almost always the first point of contact that a job candidate has with a company and it can set the tone for their entire career. The recruitment process for a company should not only follow all legal aspects of recruiting and hiring but its own company’s policies consistently for each candidate. Consistency ensures that each candidate is treated the same and each candidate was given a chance. The recruitment process is a chance for the company to not only find the best suited employee for the job, but for the company. This means finding the employee with the skills and experience to do the job and the employee that will fit best with the culture of the company. If you bring an employee in that is not properly qualified for the job you are setting them up for failure. If you bring a candidate in that is not a good fit culturally you will also be setting them up for failure. An individual is defined as unemployed if they are currently available for work, currently searching for work and are unable to find it. As a result of an individual being unemployed, labour resources are not being utilised to their full potential in an economy.
