UNIV 104 C IVIC AND G LOBAL E NGAGEMENT /D IVERSITY / B IBLICAL W ORLDVIEW R EFLECTION A SSIGNMENT I NSTRUCTIONS Brian Posey 02/24/2024 This essay shows how having a biblical worldview and embracing cultural diversity shape and affect how we live our Christian lives at Liberty University. A Biblical worldview is based on God's truth. A Biblical worldview is based on the belief that the Bible is the ultimate source of truth and authority for understanding and interpreting reality. A Liberty University student can develop a stronger Biblical worldview by committing to willingly engaging with scripture studies, actively working to live these values in their daily lives, doing service work or outreach, participating in the community, and seeking ways to share and engage in the world. As a disciple of Christ, my life's objective is to honor God and represent the redemption, restoration, and grace that He has worked in me. My ultimate objective while at school is to be sharpened and live the life of purpose that God has for me. My own goals in life are simple: enjoy the results of my labor, respect and love my wife, and teach my children to live for Jesus. In our day, when truth is becoming an oddity, it is becoming increasingly difficult to stand fast for Biblical truth without alienating a friend or two. However, having lived without knowing God, contrasting it to a life with God, and living openly with a Biblical perspective are non- negotiable. Liberty University's culture is a way of life in which we appreciate and embrace people who vary from us while also learning from one another. We recognize that God created each of us with distinct characteristics, and we are called to love, respect, and serve one another. Having a Biblical worldview allows us to find common ground with one another by seeking what the common good is, which is demonstrating our love for both God and people and going out to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them, teaching them to be disciples, and obeying God's commands. Finally, having a Biblical perspective will help me establish a solid basis for my life, family, and future. It will allow me to focus on my academic and career ambitions while also seeking common ground with people, bringing them to Christ and living boldly for God. Page 1
