Megan Winterton REL A 211 Professor Sharp 04/09/22 New Testament Project Executive Summary The physical product I decided to create for this assignment was a printed book of quotes from the New Testament. I decided that I wanted all of the quotes I included to portray different attributes of Christ such as hope, love, humility, obedience, and mercy. I created this by studying the scriptures and finding passages that I though illustrated those attributes, and then assembling a book and having it printed through Shutterfly. One way that I feel my project was spiritually strengthening was because in order to create it, I had to spend a lot of time with the scriptures, and in doing this, I feel like I grew closer to God and Jesus Christ and learned a lot more about their nature. I also believe my project was intellectually enlarging because by thorough study of the New Testament, I was able to greatly increase my knowledge of the scriptures. This project also helped me build character because I was able to learn more about the values Christ has that we are meant to exemplify, and I hope that by learning this, I can work to better emulate the Savior. Finally, I believe my project can help with the goal of lifelong learning and service because of its shareable format and the notes section I left in the back. I hope that in the future, I can share this project with family and friends. and that as I learn more about the nature of Christ, I can record my new knowledge in the back of this book. Over the course of the semester, I spent easily over 10 hours on this project. The first step of my project was the step that took the longest. It consisted of studying the New Testament, the topical
guide, and Bible dictionary, and highlighting relevant verses, and taking notes on each one. For each scripture, I took note of the themes and lessons of each passage, and once I finished with my study, I gathered them all and sorted them based upon which attribute of Christ I thought they exemplified. My final step was assembling the book itself, which took around three hours of typing, formatting, and gathering royalty-free images to print in my book. Overall, I am pleased with my final product. I am proud of what I created and I exceeded my own expectations for this assignment. I think I fulfilled the requirements of the assignment, and I feel that I personally gained a lot more from my project than I initially thought I would.
