Answer “yes” or “No” to the following questions and support your answers with examples that support your evaluation of the plan. Name of plan: Toddler’s Weekly Lesson Plan- Letter D, Color Purple, Dinosaurs 1. Does the plan include learning activities focusing on all domains of development? Yes, this plan includes learning activities that focus on all the domains of development. There are 5 activities for each domain, the domains include: Music, Movement, and Fingerplays, Language/Cognitive, Fine Motor, Gross Motor, Social/Emotional, Sensory Exploration, Art Options, Learning Centers, and Outdoor Learning. Music, Movement, and Fingerplays is Sing “Five Hungry Dinosaurs” Language/Cognitive is a Dinosaur Match Game. Fine Motor is a Shape Sorter. Social/Emotional is Practice putting on shoes. Sensory Exploration is Add dinosaurs and sand to sensory table. Art Options include: Finger paint with purple paint, Color letter D with purple Markers, Dinosaur sponge painting, Color letter D with purple crayons, and Torn Paper Dino Pictures. Learning Centers is Cave play. Outdoor Learning is Go on a Dinosaur Hunt. 2. Is there evidence of opportunities for adult- child relationship building? Yes, there is evidence of opportunities for adult-child relationship building. While these activities are for toddlers, they still need to be set up. The toddlers will still need help actually doing the activity. 3. Does the plan include the interests of the children? Yes, I feel this plan includes the interest of the children. Most toddlers are interested in dinosaurs, this is also the time that children start to learn more about colors and letters. 4. Is individualization evident? Yes, the art options promote individualization. There are many options for activities for the children to do.

Describe five modifications you would make to improve the appropriateness of this plan. a. I would do different activities for each day, this plan just has the same activities for every day. The only domain that has different activities is the art options. b. I would have adaptations for children with special needs, or alternative activities. c. I would try to condense the areas of domain down, I feel that some of the categories listed could be combined together. d. e.
