Each platform has its own style and expectations, so what works on one might not work on another. You'll explore these differences by studying influencers on YouTube, Instagram, Twitch, and TikTok. The aim is to figure out how to use these platforms effectively for promoting brands, focusing on what engages audiences and makes an influencer successful. What You'll Do: As a team, you'll pick and analyze 20 influencers - 5 from each of the platforms mentioned. Your job is to find out what makes their content stand out and how they keep their audience engaged: YouTube (Long videos) Instagram (Photo/short videos) Twitch (Livestreaming) TikTok (Short videos) Assignment Tasks Deliverables Written Report: A comprehensive document detailing your methodology, analysis, and findings (10 pages maximum). Task 1: Influencer Selection (15 points) Select 5 influencers from each platform, ideally from the same type of influencers (fitness, gaming, fashion, etc.). Aim for a diversity of sizes in terms of number of followers (micro: 10K-100K, macro: 100K-1M, mega: 1M+) to ensure a comprehensive analysis. Task 2: Data Collection (20 points) Gather key information on each influencer, including follower/subscriber count, average engagement for the most recent 5 posts/videos, content type, posting frequency, and notable brand partnerships, if any. For engagement, consider the following example metrics: for YouTube, average video duration and watch time; for Instagram, Stories, and Reels engagement; for Twitch, average stream duration and viewer participation; and for TikTok, average video duration and use of trending hashtags. For the 5 most-viewed media of each influencer, identify the points you think are beneficial for the media to be popular (viral) Task 3: Comparative Analysis (30 points) 1

Summarize the characteristics of successful influencers on each platform. Analyze how these influencers leverage platform-specific features for engagement and growth. Task 4. Design of a social media campaign (30 points) Back to the two websites you selected. Pretending that you are working for the marketing department of one of these websites, you will need to come up with an idea for a social media campaign on one platform for one new product. You will choose the website, product, and the platform. Briefly describe the strategy you are proposing by answering the following questions. Which platform did you choose? What are the reasons (please provide at least two)? Which product did you choose? What is the goal of your marketing campaign? How would you measure it? Identify and analyze the target audience for your product. Choose one characteristic of the product that you would like to emphasize for the targeted customer. What are the reasons (please provide at least two)? How do you think the characteristics of the product you are addressing can differentiate your product from competitor’s products? How do you think the characteristics of the product you are addressing can grab consumer’s attention?
