Recommendation:
Some of the committee's suggestions are to ensure that whatever is proposed is comprehensive legislation and that the department of
health and human services where it can be successfully implemented and regulated. The committee members for this legislation
should be made up of various groups.
Bright Road Hospital System: This is one of the systems that has a strong interest in being able to ensure that sensible legislation can
be adopted because it is a sizable hospital system. Each hospital must successfully implement regulations where the bill must be
clinically, financially and operationally appropriate. Another group is the American Nurses Association where it represents the 4 million
nurses in the United States who are registered. As this enables and provides direct patient care, ANA promotes the highest levels of
standards and workplaces that meet all safe and moral standards. Also the American Hospital Association AHA where it represents
more than 5,000 hospitals, including health care systems and other providers. This along with Bright Road ensures hospital
perspectives are taken into account as legislation is developed. Emily’s List is another organization. This is pro-democratic where it
focuses on the diversity and inclusion of Democratic congresswomen. The mission statement includes being able to create a space
where all people are valued regardless of their age, race, gender identity, among others. These would have a guarantee that they can
take into account the patient's rights in terms of security, privacy and transparency.
The America's Health Insurance Plans AHIP where insurance companies cover millions of Americans not only with commercial
insurance but also with medical advantage. This group will ensure that the bill does not add unnecessary costs to the healthcare
process.
As for the department of Health and Human Services, they will have the great responsibility of drafting the regulations that implement
the final law. They will also have to draft long-term supervision. But with the full group of members from the previous committee
representing all providers, nurses, patients and payers they should be able to draft very manageable legislation.
