ITS 2190 Windows 10 Administration NetLab Worksheet Lab 2: Create and Remove User Accounts Introduction The Windows 10 Administration Lab Series is designed to assist you in learning fundamental skills, based on the administration and management of a Windows 10 client. This lab provides instruction on the creation and removal of user accounts on a Windows 10 client machine. Objectives After reviewing the lab and completing the activities, the student will be able to: Access the User Account Utility Create a New User Account Change a Local Account Type to Administrator Delete a User Account and Remove Their Files Directions: Complete this assignment in NetLab , addressing the screenshots and answering the following questions during/after completing this lab. Each screenshot is worth 2.5 points for a total of four screenshots and 10 points. Each question is worth 1 point. There are 5 questions for each lab totaling 15 pts for this assignment. You may need to look beyond the instruction sheet for question answers. Please submit this worksheet in the assignment area once completed. Note: 1) Screenshots should include: Each screenshot should include the URL address, your name, the NetLab virtual machine window per the lab instructions, the task bar, and the date/time. See the Example NetLab Screenshot document included with the lab documents. 2) Windows Activation screen pop-up: If you start a virtual machine and you see a Windows Activation screen for the product key, do the following: Click Ask me later. Then X out of the Windows Activation screen. You will see a Microsoft Windows pop-up to restart the machine, click Restart Later and you will now be able to use the machine. 3) Screen resolution too large, unable to see the full screen: If you are working in the lab and need to see the bottom of a pop-up window to click Next or another button that you cannot see and moving the pop-up doesn’t resolve the issue because the pop-up is too large, you need to change the screen resolution. Right click on the screen, click Screen Resolution, choose one level up from 1280 x 422 to 1280 x 720, click Apply, click Save Changes, and click Ok. The screen will be smaller but you can now see the bottom of the pop-up to continue the lab. Created Fall 2021
