productivity levels, outdated dictation levels that were last updated
seven years ago, missing information in records and orders, staff
members who are not adhering to policies and procedures, workers
who are not adjusting to the new system the hospital is heading, lack
of security, and ongoing efforts to implement new policies and
procedures for the new EHR system
Opportunities
More patients will come in because of its reputation and basic
principles.
The HIM department's low production levels may adversely impact
patient satisfaction by causing a lack of quality services.
At the facility, initiatives to promote innovation will raise standards for
both care quality and efficiency.
