NHM 195 Final Report Your final report for NHM 195 will focus on new facts you learned or observations you made about the profession of dietetics, areas of dietetics practice, or the food and nutrition major at The University of Alabama. Be observant as you progress through the class and make note of the areas that interested or surprised you. This will help you pull your thoughts together at the end of the semester when you sit down to write your report. This Final Report satisfies the following 2022 Core Knowledge and Competencies (KRDN and CRND) required by The Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND): KRDN 2.2 Describe the governance of nutrition and dietetics practice, such as the Scope of Nutrition and Dietetics Practice and Code of Ethics for the Profession of Nutrition and Dietetics· KRDN 2.5 Identify and describe the work of interprofessional teams and the roles of others with whom the registered dietitian nutritionist collaborates 1. Refer to the grading rubric before and while working on your assignment. 2. There are three key facts/observations that have been chosen for you to describe. These are below. Each fact should be in its own paragraph. Fact #1: You will provide a detailed description of the differences between the Coordinated Program in Dietetics, the Dietetic Internship, and the Didactic Program in Dietetics. Be sure to include the length of the programs, application requirements, and requirements to graduate from these programs. Fact #2 : You must also discuss the career of at least one guest lecturer and include 2-3 tips to be successful in that area of nutrition and identify 1-2 different professionals that the Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist collaborated with as a part of any of their current or previous jobs. Describe why it is important for the RDN in this field to collaborate as a professional team. Fact # 3 : Describe the Code of Ethics for the Profession of Nutrition and Dietetics and how it is important to understand and apply to these principles to your academic career. 3. This report will be a well written, analyzed, and thought out report. Your report must be: Essay format, NO outlines or bullet points. Typed, using Microsoft Word or a compatible Word processor. 1-3 pages; no more than 3 pages in length Times New Roman, 12-point font. Doubled spaced, one-inch margins. No direct quotes, all material should be in your own words. Proofread- spelling and grammatical errors will result in a deduction of one point per mistake. 4. In Blackboard, submit the the 1-3 page report in Word document file, or a PDF (Do not use .pages, as this is not compatible in Blackboard)
