Painting continues to survive and develop in the modern art world even if other media including installation, performance, and computer art have gained popularity. Painting's Evolution and Survival Painting has persevered through adopting new methods and approaches and adjusting to the shifting terrain of the arts. Through experimenting with mediums, subjects, and techniques, artists have expanded the parameters of classical painting. To produce avant-garde and thought-provoking pieces, they have combined aspects of conceptualism, mixed media, and abstraction. Examples of Modern Paintings Painting's enduring relevance has been greatly enhanced by a number of modern artists.
