Title of Paper {The Theory You Chose To Write About} Write an introduction for your paper and include a thesis statement at the end of the introduction which includes the sections that will be covered in this paper. For example, “Counseling goals and interventions specific to the feminist, solution-focused, or narrative theory will be discussed, as well as the process of treatment…..”. Choose the theory you would like to cover in this paper, whether it is feminist, solution-focused, or narrative and use this as the title of the paper. {DELETE AFTER WRITING} NOTES FOR PAPER:  Please note, the format for this assignment template and reference page are in accordance with 7 th edition APA writing. The 7 th edition APA writing style format will become mandatory for GCU’s online graduate students beginning October 8, 2020. No section heading needed for the introduction—you just begin the introduction here. For most papers you do not need to move beyond a level one section heading. You can introduce the theory you are going to be covering with a brief overview of the development, main objectives, and theorist. Another idea for the first two-three sentences before the thesis statement is to provide a brief overview of the case study.  If an in-text citation has one author you put their last name and the year of publication, here is an example of this (Luna, 2020). For two authors, a parenthetical citation looks like this (Salas & Marie, 2020), and this is what you use when there are three or more authors (Strauss et al., 2020). If you are citing a group, such as the American Counseling Association, you would cite like this the first time (American Counseling Association [ACA], 2014), and like this for the 2

rest of the paper (ACA, 2014). Please note there is only one space after each period when a sentence is finished. The paper needs to be double-spaced throughout with no extra space between paragraphs. A new paragraph should be started when you are covering a different idea, and there will ideally be a transition sentence at the end of each section to prepare the reader for the following section.  Include at least six scholarly references beyond the textbook in your analysis.  Write a 1,000-1,500-word analysis which fully explores the following categories.  Submit your finished paper to LopesWrite.
